This delightful riverside whitewashed cottage has been furnished to a high standard and now provides exceptionally comfortable accommodation in this peaceful setting by the grassy banks of the River Coquet. The cottage is just a short walk away from the village amenities with some excellent eating places, small shops and the historic castle. Rowing boats can be taken along the river to the 14th century refuge, the Hermitage, built by a hermit. The beautiful sandy beach and the Heritage Coastline are 1 mile away and Alnwick and its famous Castle and gardens, approx. 8 miles.

Ground floor: Entrance hall. Sitting room with river views, large flat screen TV/DVD, satelite freeview, CD player. Kitchen/dining room with gas cooker, microwave, fridge (small freezer compartment), dishwasher, Washer/Dryer. Door to enclosed patio.

Upstairs: Bedroom 1 - 1 king size bed with outstanding river views, seating area. Bedroom 2 - 1 double bed. Bathroom with bath, over bath electric shower, whb, WC.

Parking outside cottage. Gas central heating throughout. Enclosed patio garden with table & chairs. Grassy banks of the river opposite for picnicing.All power and linen included in rent.

Raffy (aged 19 months) has thoroughly enjoyed the rope swing - much giggling whilst holding on for dear life - and lots of tadpoling.
Elliots in Newcastleton make what Abdul has declared "the best sausage rolls he has ever eaten" and have stocked some fabulous meat.
returning tomorrow happy and refrested, laden with a cool box full of sausage rolls and cheese and onion pasties.
