This delightful Grade 2 Listed stone built detached house has generous accommodation for 7 people and is situated in the heart of the pretty village of Harbottle in Upper Coquetdale which nestles beside the River Coquet at the foot of the ruined 12th century castle. Border House is the owners family getaway and has been decorated in a very traditional style using many personal objects and antique finds. The house makes an extremely comfortable base from which to explore inland, coastal Northumberland and the Scottish Borders, but is not suitable for toddlers or very young children due to the steep garden to the rear. The property enjoys beautiful views from its garden across the valley to the Harbottle Crags. Harbottle has one pub, with daily newspapers.

(Garden is steep and has 14 steps up to the top terrace where there are beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and the ruins of the castle). Sitting area at top with picnic table.
