This delightful, remote but very accessible cottage has a wonderful location surrounded by open moorland, hills and valleys. It stands by a stream overlooking its own lochen (fishing in season, stocked with brown trout). The cottage has been completely renovated and has wonderful walks in the surrounding hills. The Cheviot sheep flock were established on the farm in the 1820s and are your only neighbours! Dogs must be kept under strict control at all times.
Ground floor: Kitchen/dining room with electric cooker, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave. Dining table and bench for eight. Sitting room with coal burning stove, TV. Bedroom 1 – 1 king size bed. Bathroom with bath, shower over, whb, WC (accessed from bedroom 1 and hallway). Bedroom 2 – 1 king size bed. Bedroom 3 – 1 single bed. Second bathroom with bath, whb, WC.
First floor: Bedroom 4 - 2 single beds. Bedroom 5 – 1 single bed, accessed via a low doorway.
Garden. Ample parking. Linen available to hire (£15per double,£10 per single bed). The cottage is enclosed within its own field where periodically there will be sheep grazing. Coal, oil and electric - £50 included in rent (any additional used will be charged at net cost on departure). Fishing at £20 per rod. N.B. ON REQUEST - Fishing is also available at the private loch at Roughley Cottage. Cottage has a private spring water supply (filtered). Prize winning home baking and produce can be ordered on request. Discount of 20% during mid, int and low seasons for 2/3 people
