This outstanding stone-built Victorian cottage has a wonderful location on Holy Island overlooking St Mary"s Church, Lindisfarne Priory and the sea. Wild Duck Cottage has undergone recent refurbishment with fittings and furnishings of a very high standard. The cottage provides all modern comforts combined while retaining the charm of a traditionally built cottage. Centrally located in the village of Holy Island, Wild Duck Cottage is close to all amenities and has stunning views of Lindisfarne Priory, St Mary"s Church and the sea.
The cottage is situated in the island"s small village, which has a number of eating places, hotels, pubs and shops. The museum and priory ruins are almost next door and the Lindisfarne Centre, St Aidan"s Winery, and the beaches are all just a few minutes walk. Holy Island Castle and the harbour are a short stroll. Good walks can be taken around the island, taking in the beautiful beaches, the sand dunes, and the nature reserve (a designated site of special scientific interest; SSSI) where many wild birds can be sighted.
