    “We enjoyed our holiday at Hodgkin Hall very much.”

    The rental is well equipped with appliances and towels, bedding etc. Unfortunately, we had some storm unrelated power issues. May it be because of the heating being electric or whatever, the fuses kicked off , even when we were not in the house. Resetting the breakers restored the power and heating but it was very disturbing that it happened several times over. This also threw off the warm water supply and so on. Otherwise all worked well. A bit more info on rubbish disposal would have been ...

Hodgkin Hall is a stone built property situated on the edge of the village of Lowick, walking distance to a village pub serving excellent food. The small attractive village of Lowick is ideally placed for a holiday in Northumberland and is host to two vibrant pubs, The Black Bull Inn and The White Swan Inn where you can sample some hearty fare before continuing with your adventures. It also has a fantastic village shop where you can stock up on the essentials or treat your loved ones to a selection of home baked goods. Kimmerston Riding Centre is just a few miles to the west of the village . The pretty village of Ford with its castle and craft shops is 2 miles away, part of the Ford and Etal Estate which has facilities for cycling and fishing, as well as a mini railway – ideal for all the family. There are also excellent golfing opportunities, with 8 golf courses within 20 miles of Lowick. Northumberland’s beautiful coastline, Holy Island, the Cheviots for hill walking and mountain biking and the fascinating border town of Berwick, are all only short drives away.
