    “Elliot Cottage was just perfect.”

It was authentically welcoming, from the cozy living room to the lovely, quiet bedrooms with extremely comfirtable beds. I loved the kitchen; to actually enjoy making breakfast and cooking elaborate dinners every day on a holiday is testament to how good the facilities were. Sometimes it's the simple things that make the difference, and for me the joy of the kitchen was being able to listen to Radio 2 all the time (which i really miss, living overseas). All on all, my family and I truly loved ...

All on all, my family and I truly loved our stay in Elliot Cottage, a little gem located in a stunning setting of my native Northimberland.

About the location

BAMBURGH

Seahouses 3.5 miles; Beadnell 5.1 miles; Alnwick 16.9 miles.

The village’s sweeping sandy beaches and dramatic fortress - Bamburgh Castle - make Bamburgh one of Northumberland’s major visitor attractions. The castle can be seen for miles and dominates this part of the county’s coastline. Today it remains home to the family of the great Victorian industrialist Lord Armstrong, and is open to the public on a daily basis. Although overshadowed by the great castle, Bamburgh village is picturesque with neat grey stone cottages facing a manicured village green. There are excellent pubs, hotels with restaurants and a small selection of village shops. There are golf courses in Bamburgh and nearby Seahouses, and within easy reach are more wide sandy beaches, lovely fishing villages, stunning castles and coastal islands to explore along the dramatic Heritage Coast. There are numerous other attractions also a short drive away, including the famous Alnwick Castle and Gardens and the historic walled border town, Berwick-upon-Tweed. A superb base for exploring Northumberland.

Note: Neighbours have access rights to patio to put bins out. Note: Although there is sleeping for six, the property can only accept 4 guests due to the size of the living area, which only accommodates 4 guests.
