The Alnwick Garden<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>The world\u2019s most extraordinary contemporary garden. Plenty to do for all ages. Top tip: take a towel and spare clothing if you are going with children \u2013 they love splashing through the water features! Restricted opening during the winter months.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>2. Alnwick Castle<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>Discover sumptuous State Rooms, the medieval Knight&#8217;s Quest arena, dragons and magic. And why not try your hand at broomstick training \u2013 Harry Potter style! Alnwick Castle provides a day out to fire your imagination. NB: closed during the winter months.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>3. Farne Islands<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>Take a boat trip from Seahouses harbour to the Farne Islands to see the magnificent wildlife. From grey seals to puffins, it is both an enjoyable and information day out. The boat trips run all year but are dependent upon weather conditions.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>4. Bamburgh Castle<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>Once the royal seat of the Kings of Northumbria, this imposing castle sits high on a rocky outcrop overlooking the sea. From Viking raids to spell-binding legends and bloody rebellions, there is plenty of amazing history waiting to be discovered. Restricted opening during the winter months.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>5. Barter Books<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>Barter Books is one of the largest antiquarian bookstores in the UK and definitely worth a visit.
