    “We had a wonderful week staying at Aln cottage.”

    We felt it was warm and cosy for November and certainly enjoyed the wood burner, although it is a little small. The double bed certainly is very firm but we got used to it. We would definitely stay at Aln cottage again.

Aln Cottage is a most attractive stone built cottage. It has been furnished to a high standard and provides very comfortable accommodation in the heart of this pretty village. Just a few minutes walk to the beach and eating places, the cottage is ideal for those wishing to explore the Heritage Coastline with lovely coastal walks starting in the village. GROUND FLOOR Entrance porch. Living/dining room open plan with wood-burning stove in inglenook fireplace and flat screen TV/DVD. Kitchen area with electric cooker, fridge, microwave and washer/dryer. FIRST FLOOR Bedroom 1 with double bed. Bedroom 2 with single bed. Bathroom with bath, over shower, WC and basin. OTHER FACILITIES Central heating. All electricity, bed linen and towels included in rent. Parking nearby but can unload at door. Small dog welcome.

Alnwick 4 miles.

Situated just 4 miles east of Alnwick, Alnmouth is a charming resort popular with golfers and those seeking a peaceful holiday. The village lies on a narrow spit of land between the River Aln and the North Sea and was originally the port for Alnwick. Nowadays the area has returned to its unspoilt origins and offers a good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants as well as an excellent “links” golf course and some great rivers for fishing, as well as boasting miles and miles of splendid beaches and sand dunes to explore which afford stunning views of the North Sea. A short drive will bring you to Alnwick with its famous historic castle, The Alnwick Garden housing the Poison Garden which runs guided tours through dangerous botanicals and a variety of pubs and restaurants. Alnmouth is well situated for exploring Northumberland.

Due to size of property we cannot accept bookings for more than 2 adults and 1 child. No short breaks and owners will only accept a Saturday arrival.
