“A lovely cottage, very calm and comfortable.”

In the heart of Alnmouth and also very near the beautiful beach. Everything worked perfectly and was easy to use. I liked that the decor is quite minimal without too many nick-nacks. We will be staying here again!

“We had a super week at Aln Cottage.”

The property is quiet, warm, cosy, comfortable, clean and the facilities suited our needs. The kitchen is excellent. The location is super in the heart of Alnmouth near all the facilities. The property is right round the corner from the Sun Inn which we found to be welcoming, friendly and the food very good. The pub quiz was great fun. Highly recommend. The only challenge we faced was finding parking but despite that after driving round twice, we did find a space every time within a short walk. If you want to use the washing machine take your own laundry detergent we couldn’t find any. I would highly recommend Aln Cottage for your stay in Alnmouth.

“Loved our stay at Aln cottage.”

Fantastic location close to the lovely pubs, coastal path and beach. Alnmouth is beautiful . There is no parking but we knew this when we booked. Luckily we managed to get a spot on the main road very nearby. Really cute little cottage which was ample space for 2 of us and our little dog.Only slight criticism would be that the chair/ sofa in the living room were a little bit uncomfortable for cosy nights in. Other than that everything was wonderful.

“Alnmouth has everything you need for a seaside village, shops, cafes and pubs.”

Excellent choices for lunch and evening meals. An easy walk to a fabulous beach and Englands oldest 9 hole golf course. Aln Cottage is a typical terraced cottage, well fitted out, clean and tidy with everything you need. The downside is the lack of outside space, no parking outside the cottage and the difficulty in finding a parking space at all in such a popular village.

“We had a wonderful week staying at Aln cottage.”

We felt it was warm and cosy for November and certainly enjoyed the wood burner, although it is a little small. The double bed certainly is very firm but we got used to it. We would definitely stay at Aln cottage again.

“The cottage itself was lovely - very well presented with everything needed & located very close to the village amenities.”

The only downside was the VERY uncomfortable bed which both my husband & I found very hard. This severely impacted our quality of sleep & resulted in back aches for us both.

“Lovely little cottage, well renovated and in a very convenient location.”

There was just one jarring note. The for sale notice brought unwanted attention to those inside. Some people actually tried to peer through the window which was a bit unnerving! However, I would recommend the property, and would love to stay there again - providing the sale has been completed!!!

Perfect location in the heart of the village with easy access to the coast with all its wonderful walks. The cottage is cosy, nicely decorated & comfortable. We loved our week away here & have created some special memories. The village itself is great - lovely places to eat & drink eg Bistro 23, The Old School Gallery. We hope to go back again next year & can certainly recommend. Thank you

Just a few minutes walk to the beach and eating places, the cottage is ideal for those wishing to explore the Heritage Coastline with lovely coastal walks starting in the village. GROUND FLOOR Entrance porch. Living/dining room open plan with wood-burning stove in inglenook fireplace and flat screen TV/DVD. Kitchen area with electric cooker, fridge, microwave and washer/dryer. FIRST FLOOR Bedroom 1 with double bed. Bedroom 2 with single bed. Bathroom with bath, over shower, WC and basin. OTHER FACILITIES Central heating. All electricity, bed linen and towels included in rent. Parking nearby but can unload at door. Small dog welcome.

Alnwick 4 miles.

Situated just 4 miles east of Alnwick, Alnmouth is a charming resort popular with golfers and those seeking a peaceful holiday. The village lies on a narrow spit of land between the River Aln and the North Sea and was originally the port for Alnwick. Nowadays the area has returned to its unspoilt origins and offers a good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants as well as an excellent “links” golf course and some great rivers for fishing, as well as boasting miles and miles of splendid beaches and sand dunes to explore which afford stunning views of the North Sea. A short drive will bring you to Alnwick with its famous historic castle, The Alnwick Garden housing the Poison Garden which runs guided tours through dangerous botanicals and a variety of pubs and restaurants. Alnmouth is well situated for exploring Northumberland.

Due to size of property we cannot accept bookings for more than 2 adults and 1 child. No short breaks and owners will only accept a Saturday arrival.
