    “We thought the property was warm, very clean, with extremely comfortable beds & well equipped.”

    The bedding & towels were pristine. It's in a perfect location within the village, both for the beach & local amenities. On the down side we felt that the property photos were not recent and the property was a little tired looking. All the venetian blinds were broken & unusable (we noticed that this had been mentioned by another guest a few months ago) We had to stand on chairs/bath sides to manually adjust the slats to let in some light! The main reason for a low maintenance score was that the ...

The main reason for a low maintenance score was that the shower on the second floor was not working and when we reported it to Sykes we found out that it was a known fault and awaiting repair. We should have been made aware of this issue before we arrived as it meant that 4 of the bedrooms had to use the over bath shower which was very difficult to get in/out of. We really enjoyed our time in Lindores and with a few minor improvements the property would be 5*

Lindores is a fabulous 3 storey stone built Victorian house located on Argyle Street in Alnmouth, just minutes from the sandy beach, Aln estuary and village amenities. The property has been beautifully finished to a high standard with top of the range contemporary fixtures and fittings, and provides the perfect base for those requiring luxurious accommodation with lots of space in a much sought after coastal location. The heating system has been designed to cater for numerous hot baths and showers so no queuing up for hot water after long walks on the beach. Awarded a Four Star Award rating. GROUND FLOOR Entrance hall. Living room large with log burning stove and flat screen TV/DVD. Dining room with table and chairs and feature fireplace. Kitchen with 5 burner gas hob, 2 electric ovens, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Utility room with sink unit, freezer, microwave, washing machine and dryer. Separate WC and basin. Situated just 4 miles east of Alnwick, Alnmouth is a charming resort popular with golfers and those seeking a peaceful holiday. The village lies on a narrow spit of land between the River Aln and the North Sea and was originally the port for Alnwick. Nowadays the area has returned to its unspoilt origins and offers a good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants as well as an excellent “links” golf course and some great rivers for fishing, as well as boasting miles and miles of splendid beaches and sand dunes to explore which afford stunning views of the North Sea. A short drive will bring you to Alnwick with its famous historic castle, The Alnwick Garden housing the Poison Garden which runs guided tours through dangerous botanicals and a variety of pubs and restaurants.
