“Super property, ideal location for all Amble has to offer.”

No problem with parking right outside the door. Definitely consider returning when we are next planning a trip to Northumberland.

The property

This fantastic terraced cottage is set in a very popular area of Amble, just two minutes’ walk to the coast. Beautifully presented, this contemporary cottage exudes a peace and calm with its well thought out interior; the owner has used pastel shades to create this tranquil oasis and the overall effect is one of quality and taste. The bedrooms will delight even the lightest sleepers with their comfortable mattresses and co-ordinating throws and cushions. The open plan ground floor has a corner sofa, woodburner and a spacious dining area, whilst the adjoining kitchen has all you need to prepare and deliver a gourmet Northumberland supper. The space at the rear of the cottage is compact but perfect to allow pets and children out for a breath of fresh air. Amble harbour is just a five minute stroll away and offers a wide selection of pubs, restaurants and takeaways all serving good food and beverages. Why not take a walk along the banks of the Coquet towards Warkworth, here you can grab a bite to eat or enjoy a good rustle through the art and gift shops? A short drive from Amble will take you to the charming villages of Craster and Alnmouth, or perhaps spend a day in the popular market town of Alnwick with its famous gardens and ancient castle. If you can bear to leave the delights of the area behind, why not take a trip to Berwick-upon-Tweed, Holy Island, Hadrian's Wall or Rothbury, the delights of this ancient county are just waiting to be discovered.

About the location

AMBLE

Warkworth 1 mile; Alnmouth 4 miles.

The bustling little seaport of Amble is situated at the mouth of the River Coquet and is an ideal place for exploring Northumberland. Historically a centre for boatbuilding, Amble offers a marina, a harbour, sandy beaches and coastal walks to the bird sanctuary at Hauxley and country park at Druridge Bay. Large fishing boats moor along the harbour wall and land a variety of fish, prawns, crabs and lobsters. There is a fish centre on the side of the harbour that is now primarily a shell fish hatchery to re-stock levels of lobster and other shell fish, this sells local fish and is open to the public. A mile south of Amble is Coquet Island, an RSPB reserve with a large population of terns, puffins and eider ducks and boat trips around the island can be arranged. The pretty coastal villages of Alnmouth and Craster and numerous superb beaches are only a short drive away, whilst picturesque Warkworth with its castle, charming Alnwick with its castle and award-winning gardens, and the National Trust’s Wallington Hall and Cragside are all within easy reach.
