“The property is a bit tired in places, and outside was messy with rubbish down the side of the house.”

Lots of small things, for example, lamps missing bulbs, windows not opening properly, and no hygienic chopping boards in the kitchen. Overall, we had a nice stay. With some care, the property could be really lovely.

“Enjoyed our stay.”

House was very nice except for following, Strong smell of fuel in garage. Freezer kept in garage so not very convenient. Otherwise would be happy to return.

“No hot water or heat until 3rd day of stay should have been checked before arrival.”

No heating from 4th day ,Paving outside front door dangerous. A tumble dryer is an essential could be put in garage but a fridge freezer of adequate size should be installed in kitchen. Furnishings lovely, beds very comfortable, cooker oven not very clean? Main problem no hot water until 3rd day essential otherwise delightful property.

Firstly, Thank you for all your positive comments. Unfortunately there was a boiler breakdown which we were not aware of and it was not possible to get it repaired until first thing Monday morning. Also the heating thermostat had been turned down. We are extremely sorry for the inconvenience that this caused. The paving has also been attended to. Property Owner

“The property itself is really nice.”

Large spacious rooms. We'd like to point out a few issues that you may wish to rectify. The house wasn't clean when we arrived. Floors and carpets not hoovered or mopped. Lots of cobwebs and dust. Skirting boards hadn't been touched in ages by the look of them. Sofas in living room horribly uncomfortable for a large family after a long day out. One of the side units in kitchen was too easily accessible for toddlers. Inside were tools ans knives for some reason. These should be put away elsewhere this is a family house. When you pay £1100 for a week you expect a clean house upon arrival. We had to mop and hoover ourselves. Disappointing but hope you can sort for the next guests.

“Beautiful and spotlessly clean holiday house with plenty of space, very comfortable beds and super showers.”

Lovely, secure garden to relax and enjoy the sunshine and our first BBQ of 2023. Great location with the stunning Beadnell beach and harbour within easy walking distance and lots of other beautiful beaches and castles, including Bamburgh and Alnwick, less than 30 minutes away by car. Lovely new restaurant/bar 5 minute walk away. Only reason for not giving it a full 5 stars was due to the sofas in the main living room being very uncomfortable, no lock on downstairs WC and intermittent broadband limited our TV options. Other than that the house was perfect for the 6 of us and our dog and would definitely recommend as a perfect base to explore stunning Northumberland.

This attractive and peaceful harbour village is situated beside one of the most beautiful stretches of Northumberland’s Heritage Coastline - Beadnell Bay. Established in Saxon times, Beadnell was once an important fishing village and a smuggler's haven. Nowadays, it is still a fishing village, but is equally popular with holidaymakers who come to enjoy its pretty harbour and, of course, the nearby sandy beaches. The village has a shop, two pubs and a café serving food. Popular Seahouses is just over a mile away and has shops, a supermarket and restaurants, and it also offers boat trips from the harbour to the magnificent Farne Islands - a haven for bird watchers. Bamburgh is close by, whilst the market town of Alnwick with its Castle and Gardens, shops, pubs and restaurants is a short drive away.
