“An outstanding cottage in a Farm compound close to Alnwick and all its amenities.”

Superb base for visiting Northumberland.The cottage is immaculate in its presentation, lacking nothing and being in such relaxing and peaceful surroundings...the concern about the internal steps diminishes with use...perhaps a minor warning might be made about the protruding cooker hood. NO COMPLAINTS.....we had a wonderful time and will be booking again before we inform our associates, friends and relatives.... Harry and Kath Matthews.....

Parking easy and the cottage has everything you need. The only negative thing are the two deep steps from the kitchen to the living space. Some people may find these difficult.

A lovely comfortable bed, we slept so well. A summer quilt so we weren't too hot & comfortable pillows & bedding. The owners have thought of everything, the cottage is so well equipped. Northumberland it fantastic & Nightfold cottage was an excellent base.

“Beautiful cottage in a convenient location just off the A1 but no road noise heard by us.”

Cottage is very well equipped with everything you need. Very comfortable sofas to relax on, underfloor heating was much appreciated when it was a bit cooler. Cannot fault this property at all. Very roomy for the two of us and plenty of car parking just outside the door. Really easy to get to Sainsbury's just down the road. We ate at the pub which was good and we were able to walk there. Brilliant location for getting around the area and we are going to book again to come back to the same cottage next year.

The cottage is within 1 mile of Alnwick town centre, home to the world famous Castle and Gardens. The small town has numerous pubs, restaurants, cafes and shops, a leisure centre and small theatre. The stunning sandy beach at Alnmouth is just 6 miles away. Make this your perfect base to explore the castles, coastline and countryside of Northumbria and beyond. GROUND FLOOR Living room with Smart TV/DVD, CD player, DAB radio, large arched window and vaulted ceiling. Two steps down to living room from kitchen. Kitchen/diner well equipped with electric cooker, hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment and washing machine. Bedroom with kingsize bed, ample storage, DAB radio, hairdryer. ALNWICK

Alnmouth 4 miles; Bamburgh 15 miles; Rothbury 10 miles.

The attractive and historic market town of Alnwick is dominated by Alnwick Castle, home to the Duke of Northumberland. The Castle Gardens, opened in 2002, are home to Europe's largest cascading water feature, a fabulous (and enormous) treehouse, a delightful rose garden and a beautiful, walled ornamental garden, which will delight novice and experienced gardeners alike. The castle is also famous as the setting for Hogwarts School featured in the Harry Potter films! The town's narrow streets have seen little change since the days when the London to Edinburgh stage coach passed through and the Market Place, with its stone cross, is still the central feature and the ideal venue for the weekly Saturday market. Alnwick offers a good selection of shops, pubs and places to eat and there is plenty to see and do, with miles of golden sandy beaches, numerous castles and boat trips to the famous Farne Islands all available nearby. Altogether a superb location for exploring Northumberland and its stunning Heritage Coastline.
