The pretty village of Whittingham is idyllically located astride the delightful River Aln, nestling between Northumbria's Heritage coastline and its stunning National Parkland, just 7 miles west of Alnwick. The village boasts a lovely church on one bank of the river and the pele tower on the other, both of which were altered in the Gothic style last century. Great walks and enchanting riverside views are also available. Alnwick Castle, home to the Duke of Northumberland, and its beautiful gardens are nearby, whilst Alnwick itself boasts a good selection of shops, pubs and places to eat whilst being within easy driving distance of the varying boat trips available to the famous Farne Islands and the miles of golden sandy beaches lining the coast. An excellent location from which to explore the delights of Northumberland and beyond.
Note: The garden is not enclosed and has a river running along the bottom end of it so please bear this in mind when booking
