“A lovely, really well equipped cottage.”

Spacious with good WiFi (important these days!). Good central location for visiting many of the tourist spots, very quiet and peaceful. Very clean, lots of towels and teaspoons! Had everything you could want for a short or long stay. Would recommend.

very clean when we arrived and Very well equipped enjoyed the view of the hills .Wanted to book 2 weeks in June next year but already gone so we have to look elsewhere which is a Great shame.Susan was really pleasant on our arrival a lovely fortnight I a Great cottage thankyou David Butcher

Fantastic location away from all the noise and traffic just what we wanted and the full location cleanliness comfort facilities were just brilliant and highly recommended the bad bits and remember I am being very critical given we knew some of the problems before we arrived but its just small points 1, a sign at the gate entrance would be nice 2, a second bathroom would have been nice 3, some more towels would have been nice as said the above points are being highly critical as its difficult to find any faults Susan is so nice and easy to speak to and if your looking for recommendations 1) Milk Bar Wooler 2 Milan Wooler (went twice) 3 Lavender Tearooms at ETAL and Ford, and the Black Bull at Etal are all really good especially if you like ice cream (Milk Bar) But avoid THE RED LION INN AT MILFIELD we were very disappointed

“'New Cottage' was excellent.”

....the owner was there to greet us and I would recommend it to anyone. Broadband was more than adequate for emailing & general browsing, and wi-fi signal was strong throughout the whole cottage.

The cottage has been excellent for us and the surroundings have suited us well with plenty of walking and relaxing. We have moved around the country for our holidays, but this is one of the few places we have earmarked for a definite return.

“We booked New Cottage because we were looking for two weeks of peace and quiet and we weren't disappointed.”

The cottage was well fitted out, well maintained and clean. We were welcomed by the owner who made sure we were settled in. The surroundings with Yeavering Bell towering over the cottage were idyllic. The location suited us exactly with facilities available in Wooler. We've travelled around the country for holidays but this is one location we'll return to very soon.

“First class cottage - as good as it gets!”

We climbed to tot he top of Yeavering Bell in the dark for the Summer Solstice to see the sun rise - a wonderful sight. We had a lovely time here.

New Cottage is peacefully situated in the Northumberland National Park nestled at the foot of the imposing Yeavering Bell. It is just 4 miles from the market town of Wooler often known as the gateway to the Cheviots. The comfortable, detached bungalow is also an ideal base for exploring the Scottish Borders, Holy Island, Berwick, Alnwick and the coast. The garden runs the full circumference of the cottage providing seclusion and privacy and stunning views of the countryside beyond. Fishing and cycling are available locally and there are an abundance of beautiful walks nearby. ACCOMMODATION OVER ONE LEVEL (Ground) Living room with TV/DVD. Kitchen/dining room with electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge, microwave and TV. Utility room with washing machine and freezer. Bedroom 1 with double bed and TV. Wooler is a delightful, historic market town on the banks of the River Till, one of the tributaries of the Tweed, nestling in the foothills of the Cheviots which form part of the Pennine Way. Known locally as 'The Gateway to The Cheviots', Wooler has a selection of hotels and eating places and offers a magnificent location for exploring the whole of Northumberland and the Scottish Borders.
