    “Very basic facility.”

Car parking a nightmare in the village. Need a new bread knife,… couldn’t cut butter! Position in village not good for dog owners.

We think we have provided the flat with what is needed for a weeks holiday, I am sorry if we missed something. Thankyou for the tip about the bread knife, we will check out all the knives and replace as necessary. As long time Alnmouth residents without private parking we do recognize that parking in the village can be frustrating for those who are used to having their vehicle within the curtilage of their property but we find that it is always possible to find a space somewhere and are happy to advise on the best places to look for a spot. Not sure about the comment about the position in the village for dog owners, but thank you for not leaving your dog in the flat by himself again, he really wasn't happy and was quite vocal about it. About the location

ALNMOUTH

Alnwick 4 miles.

Situated just 4 miles east of Alnwick, Alnmouth is a charming resort popular with golfers and those seeking a peaceful holiday. The village lies on a narrow spit of land between the River Aln and the North Sea and was originally the port for Alnwick. Nowadays the area has returned to its unspoilt origins and offers a good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants as well as an excellent “links” golf course and some great rivers for fishing, as well as boasting miles and miles of splendid beaches and sand dunes to explore which afford stunning views of the North Sea. A short drive will bring you to Alnwick with its famous historic castle, The Alnwick Garden housing the Poison Garden which runs guided tours through dangerous botanicals and a variety of pubs and restaurants. Alnmouth is well situated for exploring Northumberland.
