“As always enjoyed our stay even though this time my friend was affected by a bad leg and had difficulty walking.”

We left a day early due to this but would like to thank Deborah again for her hospitality and friendliness. We look forward to coming again in May next year. It is a lovely holiday cottage and extremely dog friendly. Many thanks Deborah.

The sun room is lovely, its so relaxing. We spend most of our holiday in there. The owner now lives next door and is very approachable and also a dog lover. She regularly makes improvements and is happy to have feedback.

The property

Finians Rainbow is a comfortable semi-detached cottage situated in a quiet cul-de-sac just metres from the beach. The cottage is thoughtfully decorated throughout and equipped to a high standard. It has a spacious sun room with comfortable seating to relax in and a dining area overlooking the enclosed rear garden. Boulmer has a village pub (Regret dogs are not allowed inside, there is an outdoor seating area) from the house you can walk for miles north or south along the coastline. ACCOMMODATION OVER ONE LEVEL (Ground) Living room with TV/DVD, DVD collection and electric log burning stove. Kitchen with electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine and door to sun room. Sun room with comfortable sitting area, TV, dining area and doors to garden. Bedroom 1 with double bed. Bedroom 2 with single bed. Bathroom with shower, basin and WC. Garage converted to a 'Doggie Den' complete with carpeting and 2 sofas, with feeding area. Welcome pack provided for people and canines. 4 well behaved dogs (more on request). 2025 Arrival day will be Saturday. OTHER FACILITIES Enclosed rear garden with patio and furniture, and front lawned garden. Oil central heating. All power, bed linen and towels included in rent. Private parking for 2 cars. BOULMER

Longhoughto 1.4 miles; Alnmouth 3.3 miles; Bamburgh 16.3 miles

Boulmer is a delightful fishing village resting close to the picturesque village of Alnmouth on the famous Northumberland Heritage Coast. Home to RAF Boulmer, the village has a volunteer lifeboat station and is a fine example of a traditional fishing village. There is a popular pub serving food but no shop here with the nearest convenience store in Longhoughton which is a few miles away. Just outside of Longhoughton, is the delightful village of Alnmouth which boasts miles of sandy beaches just waiting to be discovered as well as a good selection of shops and eateries and a golf course. Jump in the car for a short but scenic drive to Alnwick, famous for its castle and gardens, with attractions a little further afield including Dunstanburgh Castle, Howick Hall and Gardens, Northumberland Country Zoo, Farne Islands and Hauxley Wildlife Discovery Centre. Activities worth having a go at include golf at Alnmouth Golf Club, horse-riding at Slate Hall Riding Centre, surfing at Bamburgh Castle Beach and sailing at Beadnell Sailing Club.
