There was a lovely welcome hamper waiting for us when we arrived. A great little courtyard area and easy access to the beach outside of the complex (5 min walk on path). Easy drive into Bamburgh or a lovely coastal walk for walkers (3 miles). Very informative leaflets left for ideas on activities in the area. We had a lovely time and we would recommend this cottage for anyone wanting a nice cosy stay in the area.

Whilst Turnstone is a cozy 3 bedroom cottage (with it’s origins,as far as we can establish, going back over 150 years) we try to accommodate families, like yourselves, to the best of our ability. Our aim is to make what used to be our home, into your home for the duration of your stay. We pride ourselves in being a quirky Northumberland cottage, clean, accommodating and welcoming! Our beds are really comfortable and our farmhouse kitchen has almost everything a family would need, including 2 microwaves and 2 fridges…we feel that this helps accommodate all of a family’s perishables for their stay …….. and there is loads of space in the empty cupboards for groceries !!!
Indeed we have tried to create as much room as possible within our constraints, so that our guests can have as many facilities as space allows in this 150 year old building!!! Sorry that the dining room isn’t adjacent to the kitchen!
Not sure if many cottages in the whole of the UK could physically get any closer to the sea as Turnstone !!……. we are so pleased that we made you and your family happy.
