“What a lovely home and lovely location.”

The bungalow was clean, bright and spacious. Great views out of the front window and a lovely garden to enjoy a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. All facilities were in good working order with lots of crockery and pans. The house was always cosy and warm. The local town is friendly with three pubs and a local coop for all your needs. The local garden centre did a great breakfast. We enjoyed food, pub quiz and live music at The Black Swan. The staff there were very friendly. We ...

The local garden centre did a great breakfast. We enjoyed food, pub quiz and live music at The Black Swan. The staff there were very friendly. We visited Bamburgh, Craster, Lindisfarne and many other fabulous beaches. Lovely coastal walks everywhere. We are all hoping to visit again and we would highly recommend. Thanks for sharing your home with us.

About the location

BELFORD

Alnwick 15 miles; Berwick-upon-Tweed 15 miles; Bamburgh 5 miles.

The picturesque Northumberland village of Belford lies in the heart of Heritage countryside, midway between the popular walled towns of Alnwick and Berwick-upon-Tweed. The pretty coastal village of Bamburgh, with its sweeping beaches and dramatic castle, is only a short drive away. Belford itself is an old coaching village with a pleasant square and offers a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants. It is ideally placed for exploring the Northumbrian Coastal Route, Cheviots, the renowned Northumberland Coastline and the Scottish Borders. The opportunity to visit the bird sanctuary or seal colony on the famous Farne Islands with boat trips running daily from nearby Seahouses, is not to be missed. Alternatively check the tide times and cross to Holy Island to visit the historic Lindisfarne Priory.
