Description

Wooler 2.7 miles.

Bramble Cottage is a charming cottage tucked away in a peaceful position on the beautiful private grounds of Akeld Manor, near Wooler.

Adorned with many characterful features such as exposed stone walls and traditional furnishings, this quaint single-storey cottage offers the ultimate setting for a relaxing retreat to the Northumberland countryside.

Make yourself at home as you step through the tiled hallway and leave your coats and boots by the door, entering a warm and restful sitting room as you unwind on the plush green sofas and recover from an action-packed adventure exploring the area, where rustic beams frame the ceiling, a striking stone feature wall adds texture, and tasteful artwork graces the walls, complemented by soft carpeting and two inviting armchairs alongside the sofa.

Continue through to the pretty kitchen/diner and prepare a hearty home-cooked meal for all to enjoy, with the help of the many handy appliances that rest within the oak cabinets, complemented by a solid wooden dining table set against another rustic stone feature wall for added charm.

Map out your upcoming days over a delicious bottle of wine, before whisking yourself off to the bathroom to indulge in a long evening soak in the tub.

Grab your towels and retreat to your chosen bedroom for the duration of the stay; an attractive four-poster king-size bed can be found in one room, whilst across the way a homely twin is finished with crisp white bedding and delightful country-style furnishings, both rooms softly carpeted for comfort.

Embrace the refreshing countryside air as you sip on your morning cup of coffee out in the courtyard and look forward to another spectacular day in this magnificent part of the country.

Step beyond the cottage and discover exceptional facilities that make Bramble Cottage truly unforgettable: challenge loved ones to a game of snooker or table football, or take a refreshing dip in the swimming pool.

Children will love the dedicated play areas, and those planning a celebration will find endless possibilities for weddings or events, supported by trusted local contacts for caterers, florists, marquees, celebrants and more.

Keep watch for the Cheviot goats, a rare and enchanting sight in this rugged landscape; these shy creatures sometimes wander near the gardens, adding an unexpected touch of charm to your stay.

Make many happy memories with your loved ones on an escape to Bramble Cottage in Northumberland.

Accomodation was lovely , beds very comfortable, lots of utensils in kitchen , WiFi good, staff very approachable, games room and pub onsite .

Shower and water in our accomodation was poor , very little pressure and either boiling hot or cold , net curtains on bathroom door maybe needs looking at as it didnt give much privacy , I would stay again for a short break away

An absolutely lovely cottage, great comfort, space and atmosphere.

We’d rather swap our home in Amsterdam with this lovely place. However, attention needs to be given to the pressure of the shower. Also the adjusting of the taps is rather a challenge. That’s it, apart from the shower we had a most excellent time.

Thank you for allowing us to stay in your lovely cottage, and thank you for the welcome card and wine, much appreciated.

We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. My only slight disappointment was that there was no shower but to be fair it wasn’t mentioned in the facilities so I can’t complain. The games rooms were also appreciated, thank you.
