Stable Cottage is a terrific, bijou, semi-detached holiday home set on the owner's family-run caravan park, in the hamlet of Cottonshopeburnfoot, near Otterburn, on the edge of the Northumberland National Park.
This welcoming Northumberland cottage offers welcoming accommodation, to provide a lovely retreat for two people who wish to explore this beautiful region.
Set all on the ground floor, this cottage in the Northumberland National Park boasts one twin bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, and an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area.
Outside this Northumberland cottage, there is a sitting area with a table and chairs, which is the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine and marvel at the wonderful views.
The park has its own 30 acre enclosed dog walk as well as direct access to the Pennine Way and the stunning Kielder Forest, from where you and your four-legged friend can enjoy miles and miles of fantastic walks.
We are lucky enough to be in the centre of the Dark Skies Gold Tier Award, meaning on a clear night you can see thousands of stars and the Milky Way!
Close to this Northumberland holiday home are the villages of Otterburn and Bellingham, plus other places that are well worth a visit including Hadrian's Wall and the stately homes of Wallington Hall and Cragside.

What guests are saying
It was nice to have a dishwasher but there were insufficient crockery and cutlery to make full use of it.
Also some leaflets of local places of interest would have been useful. Overall though, a thoroughly enjoyable place to stay. Thank you.
Very much enjoyed our stay at Stable Cottage and certainly hope to return.
We are an elderly couple and found one or two things missing on our arrival. However, Ali sorted that out straight away. One thing missing in the bedroom was somewhere to put clothes and bags, other than the floor. There were hangers in the small wardrobe but a large vacuum cleaner filled the bottom. Ali popped round with a small chest of drawers which was perfect. The beds were comfortable and the property was scrupulously clean. One real bonus was the bathroom which looked a bit tired in the photos. This had been changed to a beautifully appointed shower room with an excellent heated towel rail and underfloor heating. What luxury in the middle of the night!!
Dogs and I love going here,peaceful and quite,beds so comfy, have a good field to let dogs have a fun or you can go for a walk around.
