Another brilliant stay at this delightful cottage in a beautiful location.
The host was lovely and gave us a very warm welcome. The cottage was very well equipped with a generous welcome pack including fresh flowers and chocolates. Planning another visit soon.
High Shaftoe is a super, comfortable, clean property.
The owner has thought of everything that could be needed and there are some lovely touches, for example, a welcome tea tray with biscuits, little packets of tissues next to the beds etc. There is a gorgeous garden with great views. There are some amazing walks right from the door and the area is full of interest, eg, the Roman town of Corbridge with its fascinating museum. The Beamish Living Museum is also fairly near and is really interesting. We hope to return to this lovely property and explore more of the area. We would very much recommend it.
Our second stay at High Shaftoe, and just as good as last year.
We enjoyed the spacious and comfortable accommodation, which is very well managed by Cynthia. The outstanding attraction is the beautiful, peaceful location with a large garden to enjoy the views from. We come to this area of Northumberland every year to visit family and friends and are always impressed by how much there is to see and do from Tyneside to the coast, the Tyne Valley, and the borderlands. Well recommended.
