5/5 ⭐ - An Immaculate, Sun-Soaked Gem in a Perfect Location We had a fantastic stay at Sunflowers!

It is a lovely, quiet cottage perfectly placed for exploring Whitley Bay and the surrounding area, with hassle-free parking right outside. The cottage itself was immaculately clean, beautifully presented with lovely linens, and boasts a contemporary, exceptionally well-equipped kitchen. A real highlight was the private, fully enclosed rear yard (a wonderful little sun trap!). Paired with the bi-fold doors opening into the dining area, it was perfect for enjoying evening meals in the sunshine. There is also a lovely wood burner for when the temperature dips. It is incredibly dog-friendly, and while the stairs are quite steep, there is a very solid handrail to help anyone with limited mobility, plus the brilliant bonus of having walk-in showers both upstairs and downstairs. Michelle was a superb, accommodating host. Her communication was brilliant, answering all our pre-arrival texts and messaging us with helpful details on our morning of arrival and departure. This was a bonus holiday for us before surgery, and it couldn't have been more comfortable. We cannot recommend Sunflowers highly enough and would love to stay again!

Beautiful home, clean and comfortable.

Parking was easy but a larger car might have more of an issue. Plenty parking nearby. Area is perfect for exploring, whether coastal walking, history, shopping etc. Buses and metro local too. Owner a joy to communicate with, this extended to locals who were very friendly. Hope to return.

Sunflowers is absolutely gorgeous and Michelle and Andy have thought of everything, inside and outside the property.

This is seriously the most well-equipped holiday home I have ever stayed in. They were fantastic hosts, too - the check-in experience was smooth and friendly, they were super helpful during my stay (including when I wanted to extend the booking), and very responsive to queries. Would 100% recommend this gorgeous home-away-from-home!

An absolutely fabulous cottage, every detail covered to make our stay memorable.

The cottage was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. The location was ideal for exploring the local area. Would 100% stay again if in the area.

This property is absolutely stunning, very well equipped and situated in a peaceful village, only a few minutes drive from Whitley Bay.

Parking was great, literally on the doorstep, and Sainsbury's is just down the road. The house is in a perfect location for Whitley Bay and Tynemouth, and there are a few National Trust places dotted around too. The house is a comfortable, friendly home from home, with anything and everything that you need. We'd 100% recommend this property and will definitely be returning. Family of 4 (kids 10 and 8)

What a palace!

The highest end of everything from kitchen appliances to clean , crisp white bedding and the softest ,sweetest smelling towels. The bi fold doors in this property brought the outside in which we maximised during our sunny stay at sunflowers. The host even obtained a travel cot upon request and was in touch throughout to ensure we had the greatest of stays . Ideally situated in lovely village 10 minutes by car to the lovely town of Tynemouth which has everything to offer as well as a choice of beautiful sandy beaches on your doorstep. Do not hesitate to book, we didn't and had the greatest of family times ever ! Thankyou to Michelle for all your time and effort

Great place to stay for Newcastle and the coast.

Right on a bus route and a 15 minute walk to the Metro. Lovely outside space and really lovely cottage with all the amenities you could need.
