“Loved staying at the property.”
One thing I would mention, particularly based on the “dog‑friendly” section, is that we were surprised to see lots of notices in the property stating “no dogs in the bedrooms”. We do appreciate the “paws on the floor” message (keeping dogs off the furniture).
With the construction of the property, if dogs were to be left in the sitting/dining room overnight, there was no way to prevent them from going down the stairs to the bedroom or up to the top floor for the other bedroom, as the stairs are open. Unless the dogs were crated overnight, this was not manageable. It seemed like this was not mentioned in the property listing and should be.
The facilities were excellent, and we loved the welcome pack. The location is great. Also, in the description, “garden” is a bit of a misnomer, as it is a small paved, gated area at the front of the property.
The only annoyance we had was the inability to close either of the bathroom windows. There was no key to allow these to be closed, meaning that on windy days (and we had a couple), coming out of the shower was quite bracing. We would have liked to be able to fully close the windows. We understand this may be to prevent condensation build‑up, but it did lead to some uncomfortable moments.
We did have a lovely time, so please do not see these as overly negative comments. The property was great, very close to three of the main restaurants, as well as three fish and chip shops and other local shops.
