“No 4 Percy Cottages is an excellent place to stay - very convenient for the beach and all the facilities the main street has to offer.”

The accommodation is very clean and comfortable and it's always good to have a bit of outside space. The welcome tea/coffee/biscuits pack was also much appreciated. It's not always possible to park right outside the cottage but then we are used to that as we have been visiting Alnmouth for thirty years now and most places have the same problem. A small price to pay for the privilege of staying in our favourite village with its lovely people.

About the location

ALNMOUTH

Alnwick 4 miles.

Situated just 4 miles east of Alnwick, Alnmouth is a charming resort popular with golfers and those seeking a peaceful holiday. The village lies on a narrow spit of land between the River Aln and the North Sea and was originally the port for Alnwick. Nowadays the area has returned to its unspoilt origins and offers a good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants as well as an excellent “links” golf course and some great rivers for fishing, as well as boasting miles and miles of splendid beaches and sand dunes to explore which afford stunning views of the North Sea. A short drive will bring you to Alnwick with its famous historic castle, The Alnwick Garden housing the Poison Garden which runs guided tours through dangerous botanicals and a variety of pubs and restaurants. Alnmouth is well situated for exploring Northumberland.
