    “The place itself was great, really comfortable and everything you needed, the beach on your doorstep.”

    Downside: the info book did say that there was a welcome pack of Milk, tea and coffee, unfortunately not, so off to the local store to fetch, unfortunately late evening. The shower needed a good clean before we could use it, and still didn’t take majority of the black stuff from the back of the pipe. Although the front of the house had a gate, which was useful, it would be great if there was some sort of fencing at the rear where you can sit with our dog, without having her tied up. The pub ...

The property

Pebble Cottage is a charming stone built cottage in an outstanding location right on the sea shore with beautiful sea views.

As one of Boulmer’s original fisherman’s cottages it has been renovated and extended to accommodate three bedrooms.

The front garden leads directly down to the rocks and beach, and there is also a large enclosed back garden.

The cottage enjoys sea or farmland views from every aspect.

There is a quiet pub next door that serves lunches and evening meals in attractive surroundings. GROUND FLOOR Living room spacious and wood panelled with log fire and TV/DVD player. Kitchen/dining room with electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washing machine, microwave, TV/DVD player, table and chairs and French doors to the garden leading directly onto the beach. Walk-in cloakrom with hanging space Bedroom 1 with king-size bed, en suite shower, WC and basin. Bedroom 2 with two single beds. FIRST FLOOR Bedroom 3 with two single beds.

Glass door leading to balcony with table and chairs and lovely sea views. Bathroom with bath, WC and basin. OTHER FACILITIES Large enclosed back garden.

Front garden with seating on patio and lawn area leading straight to rocks and beach.

About the location

BOULMER

Longhoughto 1.4 miles; Alnmouth 3.3 miles; Bamburgh 16.3 miles

Boulmer is a delightful fishing village resting close to the picturesque village of Alnmouth on the famous Northumberland Heritage Coast. Home to RAF Boulmer, the village has a volunteer lifeboat station and is a fine example of a traditional fishing village. There is a popular pub serving food but no shop here with the nearest convenience store in Longhoughton which is a few miles away. Just outside of Longhoughton, is the delightful village of Alnmouth which boasts miles of sandy beaches just waiting to be discovered as well as a good selection of shops and eateries and a golf course. Jump in the car for a short but scenic drive to Alnwick, famous for its castle and gardens, with attractions a little further afield including Dunstanburgh Castle, Howick Hall and Gardens, Northumberland Country Zoo, Farne Islands and Hauxley Wildlife Discovery Centre. Activities worth having a go at include golf at Alnmouth Golf Club, horse-riding at Slate Hall Riding Centre, surfing at Bamburgh Castle Beach and sailing at Beadnell Sailing Club.
