“The property is in a good location for the harbour and local amenities, has a well appointed kitchen, comfortable beds, and an excellent welcome pack.”
It is warm and well insulated throughout, and would be very suitable for Autumn or Winter breaks. It is rather dark downstairs, but light and airy once on the first floor. The main drawback is the lack of a clearly designated parking space. Though there is a complementary parking permit for the pay-and-display car parks provided (which is an excellent idea), it does not fully compensate for the parking issues at the property itself. We found this to be quite a problem - ironically enough, as we don't have our own transport. Friends who helped with the transport to and from Seahouses had problems parking when packing and unpacking, as the area suggested was either occupied or being unofficially reserved by other drivers who thought the space was available. We found the house bins were being used to reserve a space when we were out. We feel that a designated parking space should really be a given with a property like this. Otherwise, the lack or a basic radio was a miss, and we'd like to note that the unsafe chair leg - mentioned in previous reviews - had still not been attended to. However, if the parking issues are not a problem for you, this property is in an excellent location.
