Loved our stay at the granary , we were central for all our favourite places to visit in Northumberland x the barn it’s self is very well equipped and cosy after long long cold walks , especially loved the sound of the horses

“We came to the Granary to escape from Bonfire Night and so appreciated the peace of Broomford Farm.”

We loved watching the horses coming and going. The apartment was perfect for us, spacious, warm and comfortable. Its location couldn't be better for exploring the coastal villages and beaches.

“We feel that the property would have benefited from having a washing/ drier Our stay was enjoyable and those were visiting the livery yard friendly The only down side being forced to drive through two tight gates and a field by an inconsiderate horse box user who blocked the main entrance to the granary We will though recommend the property because its location is superb tucked out of the way but not far from beautiful beaches.”

“This is an absolutely gorgeous property.”

The photographs don’t really do it justice! It is spacious and very well equipped and was lovely and cosy. The setting is tranquil but there are excellent eating places and beaches close by. For anyone who loves horses there are stables in the yard below and horses in the surrounding fields!

Outside there are hares and stoats running around in the fields which hold beautiful horses, which you can hear at night whinnying and clomping about in the loose boxes beneath the bedroom. Heaven!

The property

The Granary is an attractive detached property which has been converted from a former Granary. It is furnished and equipped to a high standard and is perfect for a couple. Situated on the owner’s farm near Chathill its central coastal location makes it an ideal base from which to explore Northumberland. Beautiful sandy beaches are a short drive away and numerous walks off the beaten track are on the doorstep. It is also great cycling country. ACCOMMODATION OVER ONE LEVEL (1st Floor) External stone staircase with hand rail leading to first floor. Living/dining room spacious open plan with vaulted ceiling and TV/DVD. Kitchen with electric cooker, hob, fridge and microwave. Bedroom large with double bed. Bathroom with bath, shower cubicle, WC and basin. OTHER FACILITIES Patio area with furniture. Oil central heating. All power, bed linen and towels included in rent. Private parking. Dogs welcome by arrangement. Cage for dogs provided if required. Use of tennis court and storage for bikes.

NEWTON-BY-THE-SEA

Beadnell 3 miles; Craster 4 miles.

The small coastal village of Newton is situated on Northumberland's Heritage Coastline between the popular fishing villages of Craster, famous for its kippers, and Beadnell. Beadnell Bay offers excellent sandy beaches and there are spectacular coastal paths with wonderful scenery. The village has a pub which serves food and the historic town of Alnwick is only a short drive away.
