The property

High Sea View welcomes you with its neat frontage and private driveway, tucked along one of the more appealing stretches of Beadnell village.

Located within the Northumberland Coast National Landscape, the property sits just a short distance from the shoreline.

As you arrive, take a moment to breathe in the coastal air before stepping inside this three-storey retreat. The ground floor opens into a bright and flowing living space, where wooden flooring runs through the sitting area and a bay window draws in light from the front.

The kitchen, styled with cream cabinetry and wooden worktops, offers everything needed for relaxed self-catering, while the dining area invites you to gather and plan the day’s adventures.

After supper, settle into the sitting area with a film or a book, enjoying the calm and comfort of the space. Upstairs, carpeted stairs lead to a twin room decorated with neatly framed artwork, and a double bedroom complete with its own en-suite shower room.

The top floor is home to a king-size bedroom, a peaceful hideaway with a TV and a rear-facing window that reveals a far-reaching view of the sea — a lovely spot to watch the light shift across the horizon. A family bathroom and a cloakroom offer convenience across all floors, and to the rear, French doors open out to an enclosed garden with a grassed lawn and patio.

It’s a pleasant space for outdoor dining or letting your pet explore, with a shop, pub and beach all within easy reach. For memorable days out, Bamburgh Castle offers a dramatic coastal setting with grand halls, a fascinating armoury and sweeping views from the ramparts.

In Seahouses, take a boat trip to the Farne Islands to spot puffins and seals, then return for fresh seafood by the harbour.

Inland, Alnwick invites you to explore its famous castle, wander through the spellbinding Alnwick Garden with its cascading fountains and treehouse restaurant, and browse the independent shops lining the cobbled streets.

Northumberland National Park is also within reach, offering tranquil walking trails, scenic picnic spots and some of the darkest skies in the country for stargazing. High Sea View is a delightful base for exploring the best of Northumberland’s coast and countryside.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £250.

About the location

BEADNELL

Seahouses 1.5 miles; Bamburgh 5 miles.

This attractive and peaceful harbour village is situated beside one of the most beautiful stretches of Northumberland’s Heritage Coastline - Beadnell Bay. Established in Saxon times, Beadnell was once an important fishing village and a smuggler's haven. Nowadays, it is still a fishing village, but is equally popular with holidaymakers who come to enjoy its pretty harbour and, of course, the nearby sandy beaches. The village has a shop, two pubs and a café serving food. Popular Seahouses is just over a mile away and has shops, a supermarket and restaurants, and it also offers boat trips from the harbour to the magnificent Farne Islands - a haven for bird watchers. Bamburgh is close by, whilst the market town of Alnwick with its Castle and Gardens, shops, pubs and restaurants is a short drive away.
