    “Clean and comfy with a lot of space.”

    Loved the sheep and hens, the view from the lovely big windows and the TV. Would definitely recommend if you want a welcoming, cosy getaway!! HOWEVER: here's some bits we wish we knew before coming here: The sink water switches between really cold and really hot all the time while using, so please take care if washing up by hand! In terms of the kitchen, there's no kitchen cloth or spray to wipe up mess, and bring toilet roll and dishwasher tablets if you're staying a week like we did ...

In terms of the kitchen, there's no kitchen cloth or spray to wipe up mess, and bring toilet roll and dishwasher tablets if you're staying a week like we did (2 tablets and 1 roll are provided but definitely wasn't enough) The baking tray provided also pops up when heated so take care with putting anything on there that could fall off (we cooked sausages and this was fine however) What we did know about was the bad Wi-Fi - definitely download films if you can or bring DVDs with a DVD player if possible. Other than that, I would definitely recommend staying here. :)

The Palinsburn Cottages consist of seven beautifully appointed single-storey cottages resting on the outskirts of Crookham, Northumberland, along with a historic and characterful coach house. Steeped in architectural interest and history, this pet-friendly collection offers a fantastic base from which to explore the very best of Northumberland. A little further across the border you’ll find Coldstream.
