“Our first impression as entered the property were great.”
Good cotton bedding; good laundry washing service; However, when we looked closer, the shower cubicle had few mould marks and both shower heads had black mould.... There was grouting of a floor tile coming off from the floor area. No where to hang hand towel. After having asked about the firmness of the bed, we discovered it was not firm but, soft. The sofa seat was very soft as well. The dinning chairs could do with felt feet to stop making so much noise when you move them in our out. The hob had uneven heating so not great if you trying to cook something with controlled heat at a constant temperature. Extractor fan area was very greasy. Only one large frying pan with signs of it's coating peeling was provided. The cutlery was very basic and very poor quality with the square stone crockery that was not functional at all. The front sitting room door area was not cleaned properly. We were lucky to be there during the hot weather but, if any guests were there during cooler months, you can see the daylight through the doors and wind blows making some noise on the long blinds. The curtains need to be heavier and darker or lined with dark fabric. We have stayed with other providers of holiday cottages with much better fascilities. Pity as the location is lovely!!!
