The cottage is beautiful and thoughtfully decorated.
Unfortunately, the stay was let down by cleanliness and maintenance issues:
Broken glass on the living room floor
A dangerous nail protruding from a floorboard
Stained bed sheets (clean but marked and should have been removed from use)
Toothpaste rings in the bathroom where previous guests had kept their toothbrushes
Mould in the shower
There was also a welcome pack that felt mismatched to the property, as it contained dishwasher tablets ...

Location‑wise, the property is excellent, and aside from the above points, it would have been a great review.
I’m extremely sorry that your experience was so poor from a cleanliness point of view. As the owner, as you say, I have put great effort into the decor and environment to create a pleasant experience, to be let down by inadequate house keeping is extremely disappointing. I have personally visited and addressed the issues and resolved them. Further, I will be looking into the welcome pack to try to resolve this issue.
