    “Whilst the property was well equipped, incredibly comfortable, in a great location and had a parking space, it was impacted for us by the fact that it was above a pub.”

    This was not mentioned in the listing (other than in a small note about accessibility being up outside steps) or in the reviews of the property. Our first night was ruined by the fact that there was a huge amount of noise from below until after 11pm with sport on TV and conversations and shouting. Most other nights were quieter but all were impacted. We left a night early to avoid the Friday night. If you were happy with this then it’s a fab property but felt dishonest that this wasn’t ...

Alnwick 4 miles.

Situated just 4 miles east of Alnwick, Alnmouth is a charming resort popular with golfers and those seeking a peaceful holiday. The village lies on a narrow spit of land between the River Aln and the North Sea and was originally the port for Alnwick. Nowadays the area has returned to its unspoilt origins and offers a good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants as well as an excellent “links” golf course and some great rivers for fishing, as well as boasting miles and miles of splendid beaches and sand dunes to explore which afford stunning views of the North Sea. A short drive will bring you to Alnwick with its famous historic castle, The Alnwick Garden housing the Poison Garden which runs guided tours through dangerous botanicals and a variety of pubs and restaurants. Alnmouth is well situated for exploring Northumberland.
