    “The property, unfortunately wasn't for us.”

    We missed that it was next to a high speed east coast line and therefore really noisy. It's not super clean, it's very dusty under furniture (retrieving lost dog balls discovered that). Mattresses need an upgrade (lumpy), blinds in bedrooms need fixing (falling off). The outside light is broken and my husband hurt his head on it. If you like walking on foot from the cottage, don't stay here. It's not safe to walk around here (narrow roads, have to cross A1 on foot, large industrial estate with ...

The picturesque Northumberland village of Belford lies in the heart of Heritage countryside, midway between the popular walled towns of Alnwick and Berwick-upon-Tweed. The pretty coastal village of Bamburgh, with its sweeping beaches and dramatic castle, is only a short drive away. Belford itself is an old coaching village with a pleasant square and offers a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants. It is ideally placed for exploring the Northumbrian Coastal Route, Cheviots, the renowned Northumberland Coastline and the Scottish Borders. The opportunity to visit the bird sanctuary or seal colony on the famous Farne Islands with boat trips running daily from nearby Seahouses, is not to be missed.
