    “Fantastic accomodation and location.”

    Well equipped and comfortable property with generous welcome gifts for us and our dog. The location is outstanding, very isolated away from noise of traffic and trains. Just birdsong. Lovely walks can be accessed from the cottage and so easy to visit Northumberland by car. Our host, Cynthia was very welcoming and helpful. This was a very last minute booking (day before), we travelled from southern England for some respite from the heatwave. We had a wonderful week.

West View is a simply idyllic, stone-built cottage settled into the countryside hamlet of Middleton, near Ponteland, and is a fantastic base for a couple seeking a romantic getaway to the peaceful countryside of Northumberland.

Be welcomed into a charming living/dining space, teaming with eclectic character, and hosting original features to give this property a traditional cottage feel; here, guests can recline in the sitting area at the end of a long day, toasting to their trip with a glass of fizz, or dine together at the dining table.

The kitchen is a pretty space to cook up a storm, boasting tasteful tiles and ample amenities to cater to your culinary needs.

Shaftoe Grange Cottages

Ponteland is a historic village set on the river Pont with much modern development providing shops and restaurants, and a traditional village pub. There is also a great leisure centre to enjoy with plenty of activities for the family to enjoy. The Metro centre is only 7 miles away, Hadrians Wall can be accessed from various places nearby, and the historic towns of Morpeth, Hexham and Corbridge are all just a short drive away. No matter what your interests there should be something to satisfy your needs in the surrounding area. The city of Newcastle can be accessed either by car or by public transport, and with a history dating back over 200 years, there is much to see and do in this vibrant, lively location. Excellent shopping, top-class restaurants and amazing night life are all to be enjoyed, along with a variety of museums and galleries.
