    “This was a great find: perfect location, just ten minutes out of Alnwick and deep in the country; everything we needed for a trip away and a nice, clean and well kept cottage.”

    We love Northumberland and this was a great base for exploring the area and going on nice walks with the dogs. Parking was great and the village was nice and quiet but with a well stocked Coop a couple of minutes away. For the owners only: the place could do with a lick of paint in a few areas but it wasn't scuffy by any means. We are sure to return.

Sugar Sands is an excellent end property situated in an ideal central location on the Northumberland Heritage Coastline in the village of Longhoughton, very near to Boulmer and Alnmouth.

Longhoughton is a coastal village resting between Craster and Alnmouth, in the beautiful scenery of Northumbria. The village is known or its stunning sandy beach, an idyllic setting for a seaside walk, and offers a selection of attractions including easy access to the historic Howick Hall Gardens & Arboretum, the Ratcheugh, and coastal walks. Dining options include The Bathing House and The Running Fox, while you can stock up on essentials at the nearby convenience store. Just outside of the village you can find the lovely seaside town of Alnmouth with its picturesque beach, eateries, and the close by Warkworth Castle.
