Lovely house in a magical place.
House is warm, comfortable and spacious. We loved the sociable space in the kitchen. Windsor chairs and comfy pews contributed to a very relaxed atmosphere. Living room settee comfy too. Bellingham is a great place for walking. There’s the Pennine Way, riverside walks, the walk up Hareshaw Linn. Further afield, Simonside, the cheviots and disused railway walks are available. We had a great time in Bellingham. Do stay and enjoy!
Really enjoyed our stay at Rose Hip Cottage.
Clean, tidy and comfortable cottage. Did not use the cooking facilities but all looked fine. (always eat out when on holiday, break from cooking) lots of choice for eating out for a small village. Lovely walks from the door, North and South Tyne walks are very nice as was Hareshaw Linn. Front door a bit stiff to open and lock after it had been raining.
This is a lovely traditional cottage, very nicely updated and comfortable.
The location is excellent, in the middle of Bellingham with shops, pubs, coffee shops and local walks. It is very handy for Kielder Water and the Roman Wall. There were a couple of minor maintenance issues, eg a missing basin plug and a dishwaher issue, possibly because we were towards the end of the season, but nothing to spoil our stay in any way.
