Tyne View Cottage

A comfortable cottage in a great location for exploring Hadrian’s wall and the surrounding area.

Some great drives across beautiful countryside to get to Vindolanda, Hexham and the Keilder forest. The town of Bellingham has some good shops and local pubs . We would certainly return to explore more of this beautiful area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at this lovely cottage.

There was plenty of room for the two of us and after a day spent walking it was a very comfortable place to relax in. The kitchen was very well equipped and there were plenty of thoughtful touches which made for a very enjoyable visit. Parking was at the back of the property and no problem at all. The cottage was also spotlessly clean. We would return if we were in the area.

Very clean, spacious and well-equipped accommodation.

The only minor issues were the noise from the main road that runs directly past the cottage and the "enclosed" garden, which was a small patch of grass at the front of the cottage and not ideal for dogs. We also had an issue with the code for the key cabinet, as this was not provided in advance and we had to call to obtain it shortly before our arrival.

It was very clean and comfortable. A beautifully located cottage in Bellingham, making it easy to walk to shops and pubs/cafes. I strongly recommend this property as it is central to all visitor attractions in Northumberland.

Tyne View Cottage was a pleasure to stay in with comfortable beds, good shower and in general good facilities .

The welcome gift was particularly appreciated. It's location was perfect being within walking distance of good pub food and good takeaways ( Indian and Chinese ). The village itself is very dog friendly including the museum. Would highly recommend.

Tyne View was a real home from home.

It was super-clean, comfortable and convenient. The dedicated parking was easy and owners’ communication was great. The welcome pack was much appreciated as was the fact that the cottage was dog friendly. Bellingham is delightful and very friendly. Would definitely recommend and hope to return.

Tyne View Cottage is fabulous - we have stayed there 3 times and are looking to returning.

It is so clean everything you want is there and in a great position in the village.

We couldn't have asked for better accommodation at Tyne View, it had everything we needed.

We’ve just returned from our second stay at Tyne View Cottage in Bellingham, and once again it exceeded expectations.

The cottage itself is lovely—spotlessly clean, well appointed, and incredibly comfortable. It’s clear a lot of thought has gone into making it a real home-from-home, with everything you could need for a relaxing stay. The layout works really well, and it’s a great space to unwind after a long day out. Being dog-friendly is a huge bonus for us, and it’s reassuring to stay somewhere that genuinely welcomes four-legged guests rather than just tolerating them. The owners are great with their comms —friendly, welcoming, and clearly take pride in what they offer. The welcome pack was a particularly thoughtful touch and much appreciated after a long journey. We used the cottage as a base for walking Hadrian’s Wall, which worked perfectly, and also spent time exploring the surrounding area, including Kielder Forest. The location is ideal—peaceful and scenic, yet still within easy reach of plenty of walks, attractions, and places to visit. Bellingham itself is a charming village with a great atmosphere, and the wider area is simply beautiful. Whether you’re into walking, exploring, or just relaxing in the countryside, it’s hard to beat. All in all, Tyne View Cottage is a fantastic place to stay. The fact this was our second visit says it all, and we’re already looking forward to returning again in the future.

Tyne view cottage is the perfect little home from home.

The photos don’t really do it justice….so stylish, comfortable and well equipped. I think the fact that this is our second visit speaks for itself. If you are visiting the Bellingham area this is definitely the place to stay. The owners of the cottage are very friendly and respond promptly. I genuinely have nothing negative to say about the property or the owners. I feel pretty certain there will be a third visit in the not too distant future.

Bellingham is a great village and a good base for visiting Northumberland. Parking easy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owner was very helpful too.

We enjoyed our stay at Tyne View Cottage, a great base for exploring Northumberland.

The cottage was well equipped for what we wanted to do. There was an issue with cleanliness in the kitchen, the top of the oven housing hadn’t been cleaned, it was greasy and dirty. The other issue that would have been nice to know is that you can only watch the TV’s via streaming apps rather than free view (terrestrial tv) Other than these two minor issues I’d recommend TVC

Lovely cosy cottage.

Our second stay and really enjoyed it. The bed is super comfortable so a great nights sleep,welcome hamper which was a lovely touch and the location is ideal. The view from the bedroom window looks over the hills and the whole cottage is set out well. Hosts are really friendly and approachable.

Tyne View Cottage is perfect for a break away.

The house is lovely and very clean with good facilities. It’s close to a few lovely pubs and has a shop within walking distance. Bellingham is a beautiful village with lots of walks. We will definitely return. Thank you so much to Rich and Les for a wonderful stay.

Tyne View Cottage was a beautiful, well equipped and comfortable home for 7 days.

The facilities were first class and included all the consumables we needed (washing up liquid, washing detergent etc). The house was warm and comfortable that made it such a pleasant stay. The cottage was in the village of Bellingham which was the perfect base for the area. We had dog walks from the cottage with pubs, shops, cafes within a few minutes walk. There was also an excellent brewery (First & Last) which was a real bonus. Bellingham was also a great base to drive to the attractions & walks of Northumbria including the coast within an hour.

We were so happy with the cottage,we didn’t want to leave.

So cosy and lovely little touches and perfect location too. Will definitely stay again.

Lovely house which is extremely clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Location is fantastic and local to all the amenities. Excellent base for walks and a great for touring the area. We will definitely visit again and highly recommend.

The cottage is well located with lovely walks from the doorstep and fabulous pubs and local shops.

Its great for visiting Northumberland, and only 30 mins to Scotland. We loved the vibe of the cottage; the beds are super comfy and it has everything you could need for your stay. We appreciated the welcome gift from Rich and Les, which was a lovely start to our stay.

The cottage was perfect, probably one of the best we’ve ever stayed in. The owners left a lovely welcoming gift and lots of tips of where to go- every one was spot on and perfect for us and our dogs. The cottage had everything we needed and more - it was the perfect base for exploring Northumberland. The village was ideal- excellent shops meant that we didn’t need to travel for any essential shopping. There were three pubs and a microbrewery.The tap room attached to the microbrewery is only open on certain days but it is well worth a visit. Everybody was so friendly- we will definitely be back to visit again!

We stayed at Tyne View Cottage for 4 nights with our young dog Oliver and we were overwhelmed with how spotlessly clean and comfortable the cottage was!

Rich & Les have worked super hard to renovate the cottage to bring it up to date but still retaining some of the original fittings & fixtures. The decor throughout, along with the furnishings are stunning and soo comfortable, especially the huge bed, we didn't want to get up in the mornings! The cottage is literally a stones throw away from everything in Bellingham and is super immaculate in every way. Rich & Les are perfect hosts and they, their cottage cannot be faulted. We give this cottage 20 out of 10 and we will definitely be back to stay here. Thanks again Rich, Les & Sonny for hosting us in your beautiful cottage & for the lovely welcome gifts! Perfectly situated to explore Bellingham and stunning Northumberland, this charming cottage has everything we needed for our comfortable and memorable stay. It’s evident that Rich and Les have lovingly restored the cottage with great attention to detail. Their warmth and helpfulness truly enhanced our experience, with fantastic communication before, during and after we arrived. The welcome treats were a lovely added surprise and that bed is THE most comfortable bed I have ever had the pleasure to sleep in! We couldn’t have asked for better hosts or a more perfect place to stay. Highly recommended.

...very friendly and prompt. The cottage itself was everything I'd hoped for : clean, well equipped and beautifully appointed. The super-king bed was the comfiest I think I've ever slept in! I liked the stone flagged kitchen floor; ideal for bringing the dogs into after walks in the local area, of which there were many. The cottage was close to all the amenities offered by Bellingham, many of which are dog friendly. I would have no hesitation in staying at Tyne View again if I was visiting the area. I have already sung it's praises to friends and family.

What a lovely newly refurbished cottage in the heart of a lovely Northumberland village.

The owners gave plenty of forward information and left us some great some much appreciated goodies for our arrival. The whole house was beautifully presented but the 'piece de resistance' was the the most comfortable and large bed we have experienced in a rental property. If we are in the area again we would definitely make a return visit.

We stayed at 1 Tyne View in late April/early May, using the cottage as a perfect base for excursions to Hadrian’s Wall and the Kielder Forest.

It met our expectations in every way. The cottage is very well appointed, catering for everything we needed. Very clean and tidy, comfortable beds and sofas, and a good-sized kitchen with all the utilities needed. Despite booking direct through Sykes Cottages, the owners - Rich and Les – went out of the way to ensure our stay was perfect. Comms were very friendly and welcoming. I would wholeheartedly recommend staying here.
