Just returned from a short holiday in Beadnell.

Whitesands is a delightful bungalow. It is comfortably furnished, clean and very well equipped. The location is perfect just a few minutes walk from the beach and the village shop. Unfortunately a problem with one of the toilets took several phone calls and two days to repair. Apparently due to poor communications between Northumbria Coast & Country Cottages and a plumber. However this did not spoil our holiday and I can thoroughly recommend Whitesands for a holiday in this wonderful unspoilt area.

A perfect week away!

What a fantastic bungalow! Cosy, comfortable and fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. The living space was incredibly spacious and easily accommodated four people, with plenty of room to relax. The enclosed garden was perfect for our pooches, and had the weather been a little warmer, it would have been a lovely spot to sit outside and unwind. The location was brilliant, within easy walking distance of Beadnell Beach and the beautiful stretch of coastline leading up to Seahouses. I enjoyed an early morning walk every day in both directions, and the scenery and sunrises were absolutely spectacular! The Craster Arms pub, just around the corner, was great for food and drinks. We ventured there for steak night, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The rest of the time, we cooked at the bungalow as the kitchen was exceptionally well equipped, making it a real home from home. We had a fantastic week’s holiday and couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Would highly recommend this lovely bungalow and would happily return! We sincerely apologise for our mishap in the kitchen and have reported to Sykes.

The property was very comfortable and clean.

It is very well appointed for visiting the area. The only problem was the water in the shower over the bath changed quickly and erratically. I t went from cold to scalding very quickly. We felt it was unsafe so did not use it for showers.
