Really enjoyed our stay at the cottage,like home from home .

Had all the facilities you need and a great location for visiting all the places around Northhumberland. Thank you for the welcome pack it was much appreciated. Also thank you Russell for letting us know about early arrival available at cottage. Weather was fantastic when visiting all the attractions Of Bamburgh Castle, Seahouses,Belsay Hall, Beamish living museum , Berwick .Topped off at the end of the day with a visit to the local pub The Plough Inn. All in all we had a brilliant holiday with a fantastic base to relax in . Thank you Russell

Apologises for not filling guest book, only realised we’d forget after leaving.

The accommodation was in the perfect location and everything was within a half hour drive. Despite what a previous review said the TV was easy to operate, anyone who has used a “set top box” should find it simple. The owner was very kind and phoned before visit to talk through points of interest and gave us a brilliant steer to the beach nesting turns at long nanny. He also filled the bird feeders so we got to see a lot of birds from the living room, particularly rooks and Siskin which aren’t common were we live.

Ramblers cottage is a great base for walkers, sightseeing, countryside and history lovers.

It is clearly well cared for and maintained by the owners, who are friendly and helpful. They provided all the information needed for a most enjoyable week. The kitchen was full of useful equipment, crockery etc. Handwash in every bathroom and some thoughtful welcoming extras….milk, biscuits, wine etc

Really nice property but one or two little niggles, the patio doors were hard to close and the tv was difficult to navigate, apart from that everything was perfect.

A very comfortable property,parking right up to the front door,makes easy movement to and from the car, Very easy to get to places on the coast from Berwick on tweed ,lindisfarn,craster,and cragside, This is our second visit to this property,never disappointed,

the owner has thought of everything you will need for a happy stay. well situated for all the local attractions - bamburgh, alnwick, seahouses, holy island, not forgetting chillingham castle which is well worth a visit. Ramblers Cottage garden is tranquil to sit and watch nature. the map wall is amazing and useful! the owner is easily contactable, if there are any issues. we would definitely stay here again, if in that area. thanks.

Lovely well presented cottage ideal for visiting Northumberland's many attractions.

It had been recently redecorated The pub in the village is currently closed, nearest pub is about 2miles away

The property was very clean, comfortable and central to areas we wanted to visit.

The owner gave good clear instructions for finding the property.

This is the best cottage we have stayed in.

It is extremely well equipped and ideally situated for exploring the lovely Northumberland countryside and seaside.

Ramblers cottage is perfectly placed, ideal for countryside walks in the Cheviots or a short drive for those who prefer the coast.

The cottage is well equipped, welcoming, clean and tastefully decorated. Would go again and recommend to others.

There was a problem with the T V signal but the owner dealt with it straight away and the problem was fixed with no fuss

Unfortunately there was an overpowering smell from the oil boiler.

It permeated the whole home. I did let the owner know and he has responded. Also the Internet network didn't connect, there was no hair dryer (which I assumed would be there as they always are in other holiday homes). Overall the standard was lower than I am used to and I take UK holidays twice yearly staying in often cheaper but much higher standard houses/cottages.

Lovely cottage in a good location, only half hour drive from most places of interest in the area.

Despite being just set back from the main road it was very quiet and peaceful. We had a great stay and the wine and biscuits on arrival were most welcome. Owner Russell was very friendly and helpful with a good knowledge of the local attractions. Would be very happy to book again in the future!

Ramblers Cottage suited us very well, the location was perfect for exploring the inland countryside and the coastal beaches.

The Cottage was very well maintained and had all the necessary facilities and kitchen equipment you could wish for. A much appreciated thank you goes to Russell the owner of the cottage for his kind assistance in posting on an item we had left behind when we vacated the cottage. I would recommend this cottage and hope to return one day.

The cottage is excellent ,every thing you require is catered for.

A delightful cottage with everything required for a hassle free holiday stay.

Well positioned for exploring the many castles and stately homes in the area. The owner ensured I was appraised of the entry code in advance of my arrival which allayed any anxiety I might have experienced. I hope that I might return one day.

The cottage was perfect, communication with the owner prior to travel was very helpful, The nearest pub/ food was at the Tankerville arms at Eglingham ,4.

5 miles, Used this pub twice for evening meals very welcoming Easy access to the coastal towns and castles

This cottage was like a home from home in a quiet residential area approx 9 miles from Alnwick.

We definitely will return here next time we are in Northumberland. Owner, Russell, was exceptionally helpful and very nice to deal with. Ramblers Cottage is in a good position for sightseeing with beautiful beaches worth seeing. Beadall Bay & Alnmouth to name a couple.

Good communication from Russel and Julie with kind little gifts left for our arrival, much appreciated. Listing says there is a shower over the bath in main bathroom

Lovely cottage, had absolutely everything we could have needed.

Very comfortable, clean and spacious. Sunny garden with chairs and outdoor tableware. Nice quiet village which was close for the beach and the Cheviot Hills. Plenty to do and see locally, with places to eat and shop. We had a wonderful week and hope to go back very soon.

A gem of a cottage which was very clean and possessed all the mod cons except a washing machine (but this was no inconvenience at all).

A good location for access to most of Northumberland’s attractions and a great place to return to of an evening after a long day out.Highly recommended.

It is finished to a very high standard and situated on a quiet cul-de-sac. Really enjoyed our stay there. would definitely, go back there.

It is a beautiful property set in a very small quiet village.

The property is very clean, and beautifully decorated with lots of thought into the theme of the design, and a lovely seating area in the back garden; the property is very comfortable and is in a very quiet area. The property has a spacious bathroom with a very comfortable bed and we would stay again for sure. Very accessible to Newcastle, Bamburgh Castle, Lindisfarne, and other great scenic areas. We even visited Beamish Live Museum which was only 59 minutes from this location and is worth visiting. We really enjoyed our stay here. 5 stars !

Lovely property ideally located for many sights and days out.

Russell was very friendly and helpful, recommending Alnwick Gardens which became our daughter's favourite day. Lots of thought has gone into a recent redecoration of the house and there was a much appreciated welcome pack. Would stay again.

The cottage was very cosy and had everything you needed for a relaxing stay.

The area around Powburn is great for walking and is near to hills and the coast, so is ideally placed to explore. Powburn has a petrol station which also has a well stocked shop for any of those last minute items. Overall a really nice place to stay.

The property is finished and furnished to a very high standard and is obviously well maintained.

Everything we needed for our short stay was there, and it was nice to be in a quiet area of the countryside. There was absolutely nothing to complain about and the welcome pack is always a nice gesture!

A beautifully presented property no complaints apart from there being no washing machine, it was a bit inconvenient as we had been travelling around beforehand.

Comfortable, well equipped and easy to access cottage.

It was a very enjoyable stay, the cottage was cosy, homely and clean.

The location was perfect for exploring the area. Russell was only a phone call away and had plenty of suggestions for places to eat and visit nearby. We would hope to stay again in the future and would certainly recommend to others.
