“We had a great four night stay at The Lodge in Powburn.”

Lovely touch of the welcome basket. Accommodation to a very high standard and we found the rooms to all be spacious. Generally a quiet setting despite busy road adjacent to the property. Our children liked the playground just over the road and we spotted lots of wildlife in the grassy area to the rear of the property. A couple of downsides - water pressure was iffy a few times, meaning the shower turned to a dribble when in use, leaving us unable to rinse hair of shampoo. We also hadn't noted ...

We also hadn't noted that there was no freezer or freezer compartment in the fridge - not too big an issue this time but would have been useful to keep our ice blocks frozen for picnics. Also for short stays we thought that a dishwasher would have been preferable to the washing machine.
