A very comfortable and well equipped cottage.

Excellent value for money. It is in a good location as it is surrounded by open countryside but is not too rural, so gives easy access to the rest of Northumberland and the Scottish borders.

Lovely cottage in a lovely part of the countryside, great location to explore the area, not far from the A1, but in tge countryside aswell.

Lovely views front and back. Everything you could need in the cottage, very comfortable and warm. Think the owner must be very tall as I could only see the top of my head in the bathroom mirror

It was our first time in this cottage and we found it to be lovely and clean. The beds are very comfortable and it had all the amenities that we might need. We enjoyed feeding the birds in the garden, a delightful habitat for them. We would certainly have no qualms in recommending Corbett Cottage to family and friends.

Everything you could possibly need provided, Welcoming flowers on arrival & provisions milk, water, etc. must be at least 8 years since we were there due to illness. Loved just sitting in the garden relaxing listening to the birds. Would highly recommend cottage to friends & family.

Gem of a find, lovely quaint cottage with all home comforts and so much more.

Well positioned for visiting historic and sites of interest. Cottage was warm and welcoming, flowers and essential products was a very thoughtful touch. Comfortable bed , cozy log fire and secluded position all added to a very relaxed, memorable break .

Our second time back at Corbett Cottage love the peace and quiet, it’s home from home to us, so warm and cosy

Fantastic cottage in a beautiful location.

Great location next to the farm down country lane about 1mile from A1.

Holy Island and Bamburgh are only a short driveway. Cottage is dog friendly, small garden that attracts many types of birds. We have a cocker spaniel and the cottage is just th right size with 2 adults.

A lovely cozy cottage, everything you needed was provided and a lovely welcome hamper.

The garden was very relaxing and the birds singing was wonderful, I did leave a note not to open the bathroom window any further or close, house martins are nesting on the window vent. Had a wonderful time and wee Lillie our border terrier loved her walks. The Lindisfarne Inn is the best place for eating out if you have a dog, they actually have a nice dog room to enjoy your meal, the other pub mentioned in the holiday info book the White Swan I wouldn't recommend, the Black Bull we didn't go to only the the Lindisfarne 3 time as food and welcome was great.

The house was better than I was expecting, I thought it was going to be close to the caravan park but it was well away.

Very quiet, lovely views from the bedroom windows. Close to the A1 for getting about but you would never know. The conservatory was nice to use for breakfast and dining. Great for getting to Berwick, Holy Island, Bamburgh etc. The garden was nice to sit outside but needs maintenance, it is getting overgrown. We would probably go back if we were going to stay in the area again.

A lovely cottage in a beautiful area with easy access to the the coast and the borders.

The garden was natural and well cared for and full of birds all day. The goody basket was thoughtful and very welcome. There were one or two minor issues, but John, the owner responded straight away. Thank you !

Shower difficult to work and the bath drained quickly with a poor plug seal.

We struggled to open the door as it was stuck at the bottom, having been swelled by damp.

The door to the conservatory was also affected in the same way The whole house smelt of stale cigarette smoke and a foisty dampness. The garden was delightful. it was peaceful and full of beautiful birds. Overall, it was very comfortable with all amenities plus unexpected extras, for which we thank you.

Nice comfortable cottage perfectly located just off the A1 but quiet and secluded.

Just 10 minutes drive to lindisfarne causeway and 20 minutes to Bamburgh Castle.

Really enjoyed our stay. Very conveniently located. Comfortable and well supplied with equipment.

Perfect place for a family holiday.

Cottage was comfy and had everything we needed. Perfectly placed for plenty of fun days out with kids.

John, the owner made us very welcome, leaving a very good box of goodies to help us settle in, and checked after a couple of days to make sure everything was alright.

We had a glorious holiday in late August in good weather.

The cottage was very perfectly situated for exploring the whole North Northumberland coast (from Berwick to Craster and Alnwick inland) with its castles & superb beaches and breathtaking dark sky on cloudless nights. Holy Island was just a short drive. Some beautiful coastal walks during the week, but all made possible by having a car. The cottage was small but welcoming, well-stocked & comfortable, better for 2 or 3 people than 4. We were forewarned that the shower wasn't working very well. We couldn't find "a pub within a mile" but drove to The Lindisfarne and The Black Bull.

We had a great holiday.

Handy location for all the sights. Great facilities at the cottage, the owners seems to have thought of everything. Only issue was with the bathroom, advertised and when booked facilities specified a separate shower. However was messaged by house keeper within 48hrs of stay to say shower wasn't working and they had adapted the shower over the bath. Thing is on arrival, it was obvious this wasn't a recent set up and the shower hadn't been working for several months. Feel we should have been made aware months ago !!!!

Nice little cottage with all you need for a comfortable stay.

Well located away from busy roads and next to a farm. Close to sites such as holly islands sea houses. Inside the cottage is limited for space I think four adult's would be in each other's way. The cottage was comfortable but could do with a little refreshing in certain areas, mainly the stairs where paint is peeling off the walls and the bathroom. All in all it was a nice stay and the fresh flowers and the practical welcome pack was a excellent addition. Thanks

This is a delightful cottage and the thoughtful gestures such as the welcome pack filled with delicious local goodies and the fresh flowers on the table were much appreciated.

We found both the caretaker and the owner extremely helpful.

A lovely cottage, minor cleanliness issues most cutlery and crockery some door splashes, nothing we couldn't rectify but noted down.

Great for wildlife with an addition of nearby farm animals superb to watch and listen too. Amazingly comfy beds lots of local information provided.

A great place and situation to stay at.

You are right at the heart of the best part of Northumberland. I should know I have been going for over 20 years. The cottage has panoramic views of the country side front and rear. 30 second from the A1 so you can get anywhere fast but you are still in the heart of the countryside and 10 mins from the sea. This is a well set out place to stay but is a country cottage in the heart of the country so not lavish, just good. The bath room could do with a bit of an uplift-re shower-bath but very minor stuff, a great place to stay. We love it

Lovely garden.Everything you could possibly need was provided together with lots of local information including suggestions for local dog walks.

The people who own the property left a really good welcome pack, we love sitting in the conservatory, the main bed was so comfortable alas the shower we could only get it just above tepid but there was the bath which compensated for that , we would stay there again,

Just found the shower hard to use although clear instructions we struggled to get hot water.

Disappointed with the bathroom as it needs upgrading.

Followed instructions for shower but couldn’t manage to get hot water. Bath very dirty and hot tap broken which meant we couldn’t stop flow of water. Also microwave not fit for use.

Because of Covid regulations you need to be aware that cushions and throws seen in the photographs are no longer there.

If like us for a variety of reasons cushions are needed for back comfort, then you need to bring your own. Otherwise Corbett cottage provided all that could be wanted in. Beautiful setting. We had a very good stay.

The shower just didn't work, we could get no hot water through it, thankfully there is a bath.

Very cosy, comfortable and a great location as very close to Lindisfarne.

The only problem we had was difficulty getting into the key safe once in cottage was extremely comfortable and well equipped would definitely return.

All the door locks were very stiff to lock and unlock.

Corbett Cottage was a lovely place to stay in during our Northumberland holiday.

We had a little trouble with opening the front door, so we tended to use the back door instead. We are also unused to spiral staircases and although we got used to it this could cause issues with some guests, so something to be aware of when booking. The log burner was lovely to warm us up after a wet rainy day, but we couldn't find where the extra logs were stored so the last night was a little chilly. We had a great time and would happily return.

Pleasure to come home to after days out exploring Northumberland. Easy access to main road but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful.

The cottage was in a wonderful quiet location with stunning scenery had everything we needed inside inc a lovely welcome pack of food and flowers It was perfect for our dog as soon as u opened the door there was walks There were pubs cafe nearby and close to holly island Bamburgh eta lovely and warm Would definitely stay again

Very clean and comfortable.

Well equipped and lots of information about the local area. With the A1 road three fields away it was very quiet but was easy to drive into Berwick upon Tweed, or other places of interest.

The cottage was lovely, very welcoming.

It had everything you could need and the welcome packs were so thoughtful. Quiet and peaceful but close enough to the A1 to get around easily. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Everything was provided for wonderful holiday despite the snow.

Easy to find just off the A1 which makes it very accessible but a quiet retreat in the country at the same time. Our dog felt right at home immediately and really enjoyed her beach walks and exploring the country lanes. We saw deer on our second day and many birds, including red kites, sparrowhawks and a kestrel.

The owners of Corbett Cottage should be really proud of the standard of the accommodation that they have.

Everything was very clean, the bedding and towels were very good quality and all the ‘extras’ like tea towels, washing up liquid, kitchen roll, tin foil, cling film etc were all there to use. We had a welcome hamper on arrival with a fresh loaf of bread, eggs, milk, chocolate, tea and coffee. I would definitely be recommending this cottage.

What a wonderful cottage.

Everything we needed was there and WOW what a welcome tray. cakes, crumpets and a real treat a bottle of Bucks Fizz we were really spoiled. The area has so much to see we ran out of time so will have to return to do some more. A real treat was a train journey to Edinburgh where we spent a great day.

Good location for the beach and countryside.

Nice to see an assortment of wild life i.e. nesting swallows in a nearby shed with house martins nest by the back bedroom window and farm animals in the next field.

Comfortable, clean and very well equipped cottage with a lovely unexpected welcome hamper and flowers in lovely quiet surroundings, close to beaches and amenities.

Highly recommend and hope to return.
