The Indigo House

Fabulous house, everything you need, excellent location, the most comfortable beds, enjoyed the cinema room, had a lovely stay.

Indigo house is a lovely place in a very quiet street.

Caroline has provided a comfortable place to stay with some lovely touches. Parking outside the house was no problem with the residents pass. The town walls are at the end of the street with Bridge Street and its independent shops and good eateries is a very short walk away.

From the thoughtful and generous welcome parcel to the expansive rooms we found it a delightful space for a multigenerational holiday. The kitchen is well provided and the cinema room was well used. Also really great location. Thank you.

A superb location in the old town on the Lowry trail.

The house appears in one of the artist's pencil sketches of Palace Street - a reason in itself to visit the place. It has all the modern conveniences you could want including a dog-friendly secure courtyard. Despite access to a range cooker, we ate out every night due to temptation of nearby restaurants. Leave car in parking bay and recommend boat ride, walk to pier and walk around the ramparts and town.

The Indigo House is a wonderful property to stay in for a break in Berwick.

It offers a very high standard of comfort. It’s well equipped and in a central location. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

We had a lovely two night stay.

The property is well positioned and had everything you could need with a well stocked kitchen plus a few little extras (milk, biscuits, fizz) that were left for arrival. All of the rooms were lovely and the host had left a well thought through welcome/visitor guide and instruction manuals were you might need them. Overall a great stay.

The decor is beautiful with accommodation over 4 floors including a good sized living room & dining area and a lower ground home cinema. Perfect location for access to local amenities, pubs & restaurants and a short walk to the harbour. Highly recommended.

Indigo house became our glowing oasis in some of the worst winter storms, it was perfect.

As an amputee I never felt cold, the facilities fitted exactly were you wanted them. It felt truly like a home from home. And the bath upstairs was true treat on those wild and wonderful nights. A fantastic central place to become acquainted with a good book, the local food and the history of a beautiful home.

This is a fantastic house, very well equipped, centrally located and a cosy place to return to after a wander round the lovely shops in Berwick.

Indigo House was extremely well equipped and very comfortable.

It is in an ideal situation for visiting Berwick. The hand book for guests was interesting and informative with recommendations for places to see and suggestions for restaurants and cafes. The house was immaculate and the owner so helpful and welcoming. We would definitely stay there again.

Great accommodation, very well appointed and comfortable.

Loads of crockery etc so you only needed the dishwasher once a day. Excellent location and managed to park outside and then not move the car. Only slight issue was the steps outside the kitchen and living room which could catch you out if you weren’t paying attention. Lovely holiday

We had an enjoyable autumn holiday in this comfortable house in an interesting town.

The supplies of books and children's toys were appreciated, and the cinema room an little office were nice additions to the other rooms. We are happy to recommend Indigo House!

This is a well maintained and beautifully styled home in a great location.

We had a lovely stay and just wished we had had an extra night. The property had everything you will need for a wonderful weekend or longer stay . The children loved the little cinema den downstairs. The courtyard is ideal for morning coffee in the sun. The beds were very comfy. We would definitely recommend it to others. Berwick is a charming town and we enjoyed walking and exploring the area. The welcome pack was a nice surprise so thanks for your thoughtfulness.

It's obvious that the owner has taken a lot of time and effort to make Indigo house a large spacious and well-appointed holiday home.

All the bedrooms are large and comfortable and there is a bathroom on each floor, the kitchen has everything you need in appliances and the enclosed courtyard area is perfect for an evening drink at the end of a busy day exploring Berwick and the sourounding area. The added bonus are the cinema room and study which gives you space to spread out so you never feel like your on top of each other. Located on a quiet street less than 5 minutes walk from the quayside walls and the restaurants on bridge street and well located to explore the beautiful Northumberland area. I would highly recommend this property.

What a fabulous house for our holiday.

It had everything you needed, comfy beds, great showers, beautiful furnishings and all you needed in the kitchen. Lovely courtyard garden for enjoying a relaxing drink after a hectic day. Cinema room was great for the little ones too. Such a quiet street but only a few minutes walk away from the high street. Instructions were spot on for everything that made life so much easier. Definitely recommend and hope to return again.

Great place in a lovely location, all you need on your doorstep.

Just a minute or two away from shops and pubs, busses and beautiful countryside. Indigo house is spacious and has everything you need, with various rooms for relaxing and entertaining (movie room downstairs). The beds are comfortable and the bedrooms are a good size, with plenty of coat hangers, which makes a nice change from the norm. Kitchen has everything you need and there’s plenty of dishes, cutlery and utensils. The host is informative and appreciative of communication, she wants you to enjoy your stay and you will at Indigo house.

We had a wonderfull stay over Christmas at Indigo House in Berwick, with the family, It was probably the best holiday property we have stayed in over a period of 30 years going up to Northumberland and we will be returning in the future.

A group of us stayed for my husbands 60th with 2 dogs.

I think this is the best rental I have ever stayed in and I have stayed in many in many countries. The property is clean spacious and very well equipped. The communal areas are great for group socialising but the individual bedrooms are really big and felt very private as the walls are so thick when you needed space. The extras like the cinema room was wonderful for the kids to get away from the adults and there were so many glasses/plates/cutlery we never ran out although the big dishwasher was a god send !! Even the umbrellas by the front door were a lovely touch. Great location near lovely restaurants and take away and very close to the lovely walls of Berwick. Free parking was very close for everyone in the party. Caroline the owner very responsive to questions and checked in to make sure everything is ok. I would highly recommend this beautiful and relaxing home everything was just so easy x

Wonderful house and location for exploring this beautiful part of the country.

Lots to see within easy walking distance - we even spotted dolphins from the nearby lighthouse! The house itself has been done up with lots of thoughtful features, and our children loved the basement cinema room. Highly recommended.

Indigo house was well situated in Berwick with a good range of free parking close by.

The home was tastefully decorated, comfortable and well maintained. It was ideal for our extended family holiday offering good social space to come together and not feel crowded and a second social space. Beds were comfortable and showers were powerful with lovely Arran toiletries supplied. The house was clean with a lovely welcome pack including treats for our dog. Great house in a great location, only a few minutes walk to the walls, shops and restaurants.

Parking is easy; one parking permit for on street parking and two free car parks only a few hundred yards away. House is lovely, has everything you need and the enclosed rear yard is a sun trap. Caroline, the owner, is lovely and very helpful. We left some items behind which she kindly packaged and returned to us. We’d definitely stay here again.

My friends and I had a lovely weekend stay at Indigo House celebrating my 50th birthday.

It was beautifully decorated and full of charm and character with nice quality furnishings and was very well equipped with everything we needed. The cosy cinema room was also a lovely treat and the enclosed outdoor courtyard area was nice to sit out in too. The house was in a great location too just a short walk into town centre and we had some lovely walks around Berwick enjoying the beautiful views and scenery and historic architecture. Would love to return for another stay sometime in the future. Thank you very much.

A beautiful house - warm, quiet and spacious with everything you need for a very comfortable stay.

The owner sent informative messages prior to our arrival and left us a much appreciated welcome pack of goodies. We especially enjoyed the cinema room in the basement. The house is in a great location for exploring Berwick, Northumberland and the Scottish Borders. Nearby is Bridge Street with lots of independents - cafes, bars, a lovely bookshop and an organic shop which sells fresh bread. We were reluctant to leave as we found it so relaxing! We would defintiely book again. Thank you!

The accommodation was great- lots of space, well equipped, comfortable beds and had the added bonus of a cinema room and big bath tub that made our stay so much more special. The location is excellent being in a lovely part of Berwick upon Tweed and nearby restaurants and bars and for sightseeing locally or further afield. Wish we could have stayed longer !
