Lovely cottage.

We all loved it straight away.Well equipped kitchen we had everything we needed to make use of.The living room was presented very nice, comfy sofas and nice pictures ornaments etc.We all found the beds very comfortable.Lovely garden and the hot tub was definitely appreciated we are missing it already.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely hope to come back sometime.

There aren't enough superlatives for Crag View, the pictures don't do the cottage or its gardens justice.

We had a lovely week here, the cottage was lovely and clean, it had everything you could need in a holiday home. The beds are super comfy and it is so dark at night. The hot rub was well maintained and checked daily, the garden was perfect for our 2 dog, who had plenty of fun exploring a.d chasing their toys. The owners are really friendly, we will definitely be back, it has come our favourite place to be, none of us wanted to leave at the end of the week.

The location is fab and makes it a great base for exploring all different areas of Northumberland. The property itself was clean, the kitchen had everything we needed, the garden was dog friendly. The hot tub was a fantastic bonus to our holiday. The owners were really helpful when we had a query. We hope to return again in the future.

We have had a lovely week at crag view cottage west Woodburn.

The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. Since our last stay here with previous owners there has been a big improvement in furniture etc. it's really comfortable. Never got a chance to use hot tub as weather wasn't great. The hot tub is also new it used to be where the garden pond was. Really enjoyed our stay.

Crag View cottage is in a great place to explore the area.

Over looking fields of sheep & surrounded by beautiful countryside. The cottage has spacious accomodation & a lovely ambiance. Everything you may need for your stay at any time of year. We enjoyed the hot tub while watching swallows fly overhead & lots of bird song in the garden. The conservatory is a lovely space with a large dining table .

What a beautiful cottage, everything you need is in this well stocked home from home.

Never had such a lovely welcome gift pack left for us. The hot tub is so welcome after a day out, pity the weather was so bad, I can imagine looking at the stars of an evening would be spectacular, unfortunately we didn't see any. The owner was very accommodating, and responded to every message I sent asking endless questions about the place. Hope we can go back next visit to the North East.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed here.

It is like walking in to your own home. Crag View is clean and well equipped and perfect for a peaceful break. The hot tub is lovely to sit in at night, (or day). We managed to get a good view of the stars on a couple of occasions. We stayed here for a week for my wife’s birthday and it was perfect in every way. We will definitely look to stay here again.

Very comfortable and well appointed cottage.

Great to relax in the hot tub and appreciate the dark skies. Enclosed garden perfect for allowing the dog to wander. Ideal base for exploring the many places of interest in the area.

Absolutely perfect from walking into the cottage to leaving just great

Kitchen was fully equipped and spacious.

Living room had 3 comfortable sofas and a smart tv. Great log fire. House was nice and warm. The large zip linked bed was so comfortable for us and we had plenty of storage for clothes. The only place i felt needed some tlc was the baghroom - it had seen better days but was functional. Outside the hot tub was great for relaxing after a long day hiking with outdoor lighting at night. The pretty garden was enclosed for our dog with outdoor furniture and a BBQ. On the whole we had a very comfortable stay.

Crag View is a delightful cottage in a small village - West Woodburn.

The cottage is well renovated to provide modern facilities (ie) an outdoor Hot tub, within a very traditional Northumberland presentation. It is steps from the A68, so there can be road noise from lorries/ traffic starting as early as 0400 hrs, but otherwise the traveller would be convinced they are in a rural setting. An excellent Pub - The BayHorse - is not far, and there is a small shop / Post Office that has the essentials. So for an International Traveller, this is helpful and most welcome. The Small Fire Stove throws good heat, and the Kitchen is well-equipped. There is off-road parking for a single vehicle, but do be careful about exiting the space onto the busy A68! If your goal is to walk/ visit the Cheviots / attend National Trust or Heritage sites, this is an excellent location, but a car makes it all much easier. I would recommend Crag View to anyone.

Superb overall .

out door space very comfy, private and well maintained , hot tub amazing also Bbq there even though not listed which was great because we had lovely weather and enjoyed sitting in the sunny garden cooking outdoors . prjvate parking at side of property easy and location in village excellent close to pub and shop. Inside very spacious clean,comfy and everything we needed , proper decent power shower to wake you up in the morning . Fantastic

Everything was as described. Parking was great. The welcome pack brilliant and well received. The house was immaculate and well prepared. The hot tub was excellent and discreetly maintained during our stay. The local pub (short walk) was welcoming, with good food. We would highly recommend Crag View.

Ideal for visiting all parts of Northumberland and beyond. The Hot Tub is fantastic, the kitchen well provided and the shower very good. We enjoyed it all so much we have re-booked next year.

Crag View was a home away from home.

Everything that you could need was there. Location wise it was pretty good for accessing all areas of Northumberland . The presence within very, very easy walking distance of a friendly pub with good food and drink was also great.The welcome pack was a lovely treat. An small issue we raised with the hosts was quickly addressed. We would definitely recommend.

Shower was great - so rare to find powerful showers! Welcome pack is a great touch. Location handy to explore lots of Northumberland. Only reason we have marked it down is there was a slight ant problem in the kitchen around the sink area.

Fabulous, well stocked cottage.

Ideally situated to explore West Northumberland. The welcome pack was a great surprise. Hot tub was hot and well kept and with being in a dark skies are the sky at night was amazing. The owner honoured us an extra night due to the storm knocking the electricity off. The local pub in walking distance was very friendly and did the best Haggis Neeps and Tatties. The cottage was clean and comfortable. Only minus was the leak in the bathroom. We will be back.

It was like walking in to someone's home when we first walked in to Crag View.

The cottage is gorgeous and is so warm and comfortable. The hot tub is a lovely addition. We were made to feel so welcome and the welcome pack was a lovely, unexpected addition too, (thank you).

This is a lovely cottage with a secure garden for the dogs which is a must if you are taking your pets with you.

The hot tub is a lovely extra after a day out sight seeing,the beds and sofa are really comfortable and the welcome pack is amazing thank you.This is a beautiful peaceful part of the country 5* to the owners on this lovely cottage would highly recommend you won't be disappointed.

Crag View was very comfortable and warm.

A really good base for exploring the area including Hadrian's Wall and up to Scotland too. Jedburgh is well worth visiting! We so enjoyed exploring so we didn't use the hot tub, but it seems to be very popular with guests.

Fantastic hideaway for peace quiet and tranquility.

Location, is ideal for exploring hidden areas or those areas that are usually that too far, for example, Falkirk wheel is an easy drive to get to.

The property is lovely and comfortable, accommodation was spacious and clean.

Really liked the welcome pack, which we enjoyed- thank you.Prosecco went down well as did the hot tub! The only thing which would have made this for us as two women, would have been a dressing table with mirror we could sit at near a plug socket. We could not really adapt anything for this purpose and made drying hair difficult. We used the property as a base from which we were able to explore different areas of Northumberland, then home to relax in the hot tub. Perfect !

This is a fabulous cottage in a great location.

We have stayed in Northumberland several times and to date this is my favourite place. A clean and spacious cottage, a modern kitchen, massive comfortable sofas and beds..... basically everything you need. Although on a main road, it did not disturb and we used the back gate entrance rather than the front for safety for our curious dogs. The garden was well maintained and plenty of space and seating. The hot tub was just a bonus for our family. This too was maintained every day and emptied, cleaned and refilled after our weeks holiday. Owners who lived nearby were friendly and we knew they were there if we needed anything. Just a lovely holiday in a beautiful area. This is a cottage I would go back to....(and I dont always feel that way.)

We enjoyed our stay at Crag View especially as we had some good weather so that we could use the hot tub, which was nice and clean.

We found the cottage was a little tired and could do with a woman’s touch. It’s very masculine. It was, though, comfortable and that’s the important thing. The garden is good and secure for dogs. We also liked the off road parking. There is no where to dry hair, which is difficult. A great centre to discover the areas treasures.

Cottage really clean and contained everything we needed for our stay. Owners really helpful. Surrounding scenery beautiful and local pub does lovely food and very welcoming. Lots to do in the area but definitely need a car .

Absolutely loved our stay at crag view - as did our two Labradors.

Perfect for exploring the beautiful scenery, we managed trips to hareshaw linn waterfall, warkworth beach, kielder water, simonside and Hadrian’s wall. The local pub was perfect. The cottage itself was cosy, comfy beds, safe garden for the dogs while we relaxed in the hot tub and a nice big fridge/freezer to stock up. The welcome pack was a lovely surprise too. Will definitely be back.

Crag view is a lovely house and as appears on the booking.

Great location for sight seeing lots of things around to do. Pub and shop within walking distance. Only a small shop so you would need to get things in elsewhere. Pub served fantastic food. Lots of walks great for dogs around too. House was clean, really warm and comfortable. Hot tub was great enjoyed watching the stars in it. Only down side could do with more cleaning products being available otherwise fantastic stay.

We had a very restful weekend at this lovely cottage.

It is well-equipped, very warm and we made good use of the hot tub. The enclosed rear garden was great for our dog too. We enjoyed a Sunday lunch at the nearby Bay Horse pub, and the post office is very handy for supplies. A lovely visit that we hope to repeat next year sometime.

A delightful cottage with a secure garden and a fab hot tub.

It's so well situated for visiting places. The wood burner was great when it was chilly. A curtain across the front door would add to that cosy feeling. We used the rear door and kept the front door locked as the road is quite fast, but really quiet in the evening. The A68 is a great road to drive. Lots of walks directly from the cottage, starting just behind the pub.

Great communication with the owner prior. The hot tub was a hit, the village pub is a gem. Fab cottage. Just to note for future guests items such as washing up liquid etc are not provided, this wasn’t a problem. Fab walks in local area. Would definitely recommend.

Be aware the cottage is on a busy A road, so kids and dogs need to be supervised when you open the front door.

However, road noise is not a big issue. The local pub is excellent and offers a discount to those staying at Crag View. The owners provided a very generous welcome pack, although we would have happily swapped a tube of Pringles for an extra toilet roll!

Cottage was very comfortable and clean.

There are some welcome additions, such as the hot tub and I loved having the slow cooker, so you could come home to a prepared meal. The sun room overlooking the garden was lovely. There is a pub within walking distance and the post office/shop, a few doors away was useful if you suddenly ran out of something and didn't want to travel to the nearest small town. Stunning walks on the doorstep. A few additions would make this 5 star, providing robes for the hot tub, providing cleaning products, (which most people replace as they use them up), and a few extras in the kitchen, (such as toast rack, measuring jug, butter dish and plastic storage tubs). We enjoyed our stay and are certain anyone else would too.

We were not aware that the busy road was so close to the cottage. So we expected a more quiet place.

Beautifully maintained cottage with a lovely enclosed rear garden perfect if you have a dog.

Ideally located within a short walk of a great pub serving good food every evening with very welcoming staff. Hosts provided a very generous welcome pack which was very much appreciated. Bed extremely comfortable and we were not disturbed by any traffic noise. Lounge area had plenty of seating and as the accommodation was on one level we had no concern about our dog trying to go upstairs.

My wife is asmatic, on entering the cottage she immediately became breathless due to the number of air diffusers, we immediately removed the and she quickly recovered.

This apart our stay was very enjoyable, the cottage is clean and has everything you need. People have mentioned traffic noise but to be honest, A, look where its located! B, it is hardly disturbing, and from evening very little traffic. The hot tub is lovely and a relaxing way to end the day. Overall we had a lovely relaxing week and will certainly revisit.

We had a lovely stay at Crag View and will definitely be returning - we rarely visit the same place twice so that says it all!

The cottage was clean, well equipped and the furniture is so comfortable. Even struggled to get out of bed some mornings to explore the beautiful Northumberland, it was that cosy. Hot tub was so relaxing after long days out and well maintained by Paul who popped by every morning to check the water quality. The pub down the road, literally a 2 minute walk, is great. Very friendly, including dog friendly, and the food really good. Loved every minute of our stay and will be booking again in the near future. Thank you!

The welcome pack was great but it would have been helpful if some basic cleaning items like a couple of dishwasher tablets and some washing up liquid had also been left.

The welcome pack was very much appreciated as the nearest supermarket would be in Hexham, nothing really local.

The living area was clean and tidy and slightly unusual in layout with the toilet- bathroom being furthest away from the bedrooms. The outside paved area was uneven and slightly slippery path from the conservatory to the decked area due to moss and residue from the trees. The main concern outside was the uneven pathway due to what looked like tree roots raising the paving slabs.

Really enjoyed our stay in an immaculately clean and welcoming cottage which was well equipped and very comfortable.

The welcome pack was one of the best we have experienced and I must say the information pack left with where to go and what to do was great. The hot tub was maintained daily, but we were not disturbed at all by the owners. Overall everything was very good and I would recommend this cottage as a restful retreat within easy reach of all the lovely areas of Northumberland.

The property is really lovely Laura & Paul provide excellent communication and present the Cottage to a very high Standard.

The little garden and Hot tub are an additional gem. The welcome pack is beyond doubt the best we’ve ever had! The hosts are on hand whenever you need them and nothing is too much trouble. Excellent Hosts 5⭐️ Our only suggest would be to state in the Facilities that The “Smart TV” only provides Apps and has no basic channels live. You get used to it but it gives clarity to prospective clients.

We have just come back from a week at Crag View and would echo what others have said about the cottage being both delightful and comfortable.

The large, homely living room was lovely, and the kitchen was superbly equipped. The hot tub was a real treat at the end of the day, and spotlessly clean, whilst the secure enclosed garden was perfect for our small dog. That said, we were unprepared for (and not used to) the noise from the A68; HGV’s during the week and motorbikes at the weekend. For that reason, we will not be returning. If this cottage were away from the road, it would have been a 5 star review because everything else was just perfect. When we complained to Sykes that the photographs of "views across the fields" were a bit misleading as they cut off the road, the representative rather (un)helpfully said that it was our own fault for not doing our homework as the listing gives a link to Google Maps. So, don't be like us, do your homework. In our defence, our original booking somewhere else was cancelled by Sykes and Crag View was our only alternative option at short notice. If you don't mind road noise you will love this cottage.

Like home from home and in such a lovely location too. After walking in the day then hot tub in the evening followed by sitting around the log burner was a perfect day. This was February, I bet it’s even more fantastic through Spring and Summer. We would 100% return and recommend.

This is a lovely cottage renovated to a very high standard.

The main bedroom is incredibly comfy, the hot tub was perfect after a long walk. The property is toddler friendly as it's mainly all on one level and carpeted. The owners were also incredibly friendly and quick to respond to any queries we had.

Really comfy bed. Local pub 600 yds away love dogs and do food and you get 10% off if you tell them you are visiting the cottage. Great walks with dogs nearby. Loved it will definitely visit again.

We stayed the week before Christmas and loved it.

Spotlessly clean, well equipped and above all, warm and comfortable. The photos on the website don't do it justice. The welcome hamper was very generous and thoughtful, the stove fire was a real highlight and the jacuzzi was a real luxury. If you want relaxation and a chance to unplug from the world, with a friendly pub less than 100m from your door, come here.

Everything you could need provided for. Hot tub was a treat. Lovely welcome pack which we really enjoyed. Maybe if you could have normal telly that would have been nice. Would definitely consider returning.

The property is superb our one suggestion would be to add a hook on the back of the bedroom door, we had no power for 3 days and the owners looked after us superbly well many thanks again

Amazing cosy cottage in a lovely location, very close to Northumberland National Park, and a good base for visiting Kielder Water & Forest and the Northumberland coast.

The cottage and garden were perfect for our two dogs and we absolutely loved the added luxury of the wood burner and hot tub. Everything was spotlessly clean and the welcome hamper was a lovely thoughtful addition too. Thank you very much for an amazing stay!

A tranquil stay in a beautiful location.

Easy access to all areas of Northumberland. The cottage has all necessary facilities including a fantastic hot tub for a relaxing stay.

From the moment we opened the front door of the cottage we were blown away.

Entry into a very large living room with modern furniture and a big inglenook fireplace with log burner. The kitchen is newly fitted, with all the mod cons and kitchenware that you could hope for. Bedrooms were clean and well fitted, although we only used the main bedroom. King size bed (very comfy), fitted wardrobes, iron and board, hairdryer, Hoover all provided. Bedding and towels provided. Garden was neat and tidy and we made full use of the hot tub and chimnea. Hot tub was serviced daily by the owner, who is a really friendly guy. All logs/kindling provided. Can’t forget to mention the welcome pack on arrival with tea/coffee/sugar/biscuits and a bottle of fizz (and a bottle of milk in the fridge). Our dogs loved it, and the garden being fully walled means the garden is really secure. We will definitely be back to Crag View again. Highly recommended.

Cottage was great, the only downfall was the TV.

You cant get normal tv it all has to be downloaded. A glove for the wood burner would also be good.

The hot tub was brilliant, the log burner was very cosy, the owners were friendly and helpful.

Everything was provided for us, including Netflix which we did'nt know about until we arrived. We loved the cottage and would recommend it to anyone who wants to escape city life for a week or two.

It would have been useful having the owners contact details because there were a few things that we would have liked to check out and it can take a lengthy time to go through Sykes. The owner was very welcoming and helpful.

Enjoyed the comfortable cottage, and the hot tub, but cottage lacked basic amenities which I felt was not acceptable given the price point for the week - especially the fact that there was no hand soap provided in the time of a pandemic.

Also, almost every item of cutlery and crockery that we pulled out of cupboards required to be cleaned before use. Loved the location, private garden and comfy bed, but felt the cleanliness and amenities could have been better.
