“Cottage was lovely, very clean and spacious.”
If following a sat nav you may end up in farm yard, as we did, so when you turn into the road opposite the Blackcock pub, follow road over cattle grid and then turn right, you can see the cottage at the end of that road. The village shop is now closed but The co op in Bellingham is not too far. The Blackcock Pub is lovely, it opens Thursday-Sunday, the staff are really friendly and helpful and the food is very good. The village shop is now closed but The co op in Bellingham is not too far. The Blackcock Pub is lovely, it opens Thursday-Sunday, the staff are really friendly and helpful and the food is very good. Across from pub are the village tea rooms. Very nice cake! All in all a lovely relaxing holiday in a lovely cottage. One point to note. Reading the guest book it's a bit hit and miss if there is a welcome pack when you arrive, some had it, some didn't. We didn't but it wasn't a problem for us. The path at the end of the garden that leads to the pub one way or Kielder Water the other way is quite steep and there is a tree across the path that you need to duck under. We will definitely be coming back to Falstone.
