Very comfortable house in beautiful surroundings.

Everything we needed was there. We had a lovely time.

House was lovely and very clean ,only down side was no wipes or cleaning spray for the bathroom and toilet.

You don't expect to take toilet rolls and cleaning wipes on your holiday . The holiday was very good and would recommend especially if you like peace and quiet

The property was very clean and tidy we were very impressed.

The beds were exceptionally comfortable and all the bedrooms light and airy. The towels were of good quality and I felt very at home. The kitchen was a good working modern design. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. My dog loved the garden and it was dog friendly. The area was prefect for walking and as a base for further adventures.

There are more houses surrounding the cottage than the photos suggest, nonetheless the detached house is lovely with lovely views.

Endless supply of logs for cosy nights! Comfy beds! Good trail from bottom of the garden towards Kielder Waterside & all around Kielder is stunning!

Cottage is shown in pictures as standing alone, it is however at the end of a row of cottages and overlooked on three sides.

The central heating seemed to turn itself off if you went out, so cottage was cold when we came back in, there were no instructions for the central heating. There were also no instructions for the recycling/rubbish and as every area has different rules, we had to guess.

Take everything you need regarding food & drink, condiments, tea, coffee, ketchup, salt, vinegar, oil to cook with, nothing is provided.

Cleaning supplies are plentiful as are logs for the fire. Hartam House is spotless, the beds are comfortable & the kitchen is fully equipped.

Perfect place for a countryside stay peaceful and quiet with stunning views in a wonderful location.

Plenty of local walks to enjoy and the cottage is in easy reach of many of the attractions Northumberland has to offer. The house was clean and comfortable. You will need to take your groceries with you as there is no shop in the village but having visited Falstone many times we were aware.

A lovely relaxing week at Hartam House.

Our 2 dogs loved the gardens. Maybe put a gate and fence at the top of the garden by the wood and brook to make it dog and child proof. Stunning views. The cottage was spotless. Kitchen well appointed and log fire had plenty of wood for cosy nights. Pubs locally but limited hours due to season. Walks a plenty.. Kielder dam 1 mile walk. Shop Bellingham 8 miles. Peaceful and lovely week. Thank you.

A nice property, clean and comfortable in a lovely area.

Falstone has great local facilities, the pub and tea room are well worth a visit. As a dog owner. I think it would be useful for fellow dog owners to include the info about dogs not being allowed upstairs on the website! This was an unexpected finding on our arrival and not something we’ve come across before in the many other dog friendly properties we’ve stayed in.

Overall the property was good and certainly nice and clean.

The bottle of wine was a nice touch. We were disappointed with some minor details. For instance it was listed that there were dvd’s and games, but there were no dvd’s and only one game. I had not taken any, as they were on the list and we did have some rainy time, so could have done with them. The listed starter pack for the fire was very sparse, with only 3 sticks and a couple of sheets of newspaper. The kitchen equipment, cooking trays, general bowls, jugs etc was sparse. The cooking utensils were broken and pretty useless. Only 5 teaspoons were provided for a property catering for 6. It was basically under equipped in the kitchen department. A few cushions would have made things more comfortable for us as well. It’s small things that are not the end of the world, but it would be better if they were provided. Otherwise the furniture is good quality, comfortable beds, nice linen and pillows, a nice garden. Good to have parking. A good stock of logs. Lovely views and walks right from the house.

This is the perfect cottage for us, grandparents, parents, grandchildren, and dogs!

Very comfortable with everything we needed for a great holiday. Garden fabulous, kitchen very well equipped, lounge comfy. Only issue- midges- if we go again in summer we must remember to take take candles and spray, but this is inevitable in a forest area!!

Very lovely cottage with everything one could want for.

The midgies are a nuisance but they are too new expected in summer in the Kielder forest. We very much enjoyed staying in Hartam House.

Our 3rd year staying in this lovely house.

Always very clean and comfortable, we sleep so well in the comfy beds. House is in a quiet spot just below kielder dam. Excellently placed for getting out and about to explore the area. We are looking forward to hopefully staying there again next year.

Superb accommodation - spotlessly clean with excellent facilities.

Sadly, no stars seen in the two weeks there due to cloud for most of the two weeks, although the strawberry moon did peep through for a short time.

Cottage was lovely, very clean and spacious.

If following a sat nav you may end up in farm yard, as we did, so when you turn into the road opposite the Blackcock pub, follow road over cattle grid and then turn right, you can see the cottage at the end of that road. The village shop is now closed but The co op in Bellingham is not too far. The Blackcock Pub is lovely, it opens Thursday-Sunday, the staff are really friendly and helpful and the food is very good. Across from pub are the village tea rooms. Very nice cake! All in all a lovely relaxing holiday in a lovely cottage. One point to note. Reading the guest book it's a bit hit and miss if there is a welcome pack when you arrive, some had it, some didn't. We didn't but it wasn't a problem for us. The path at the end of the garden that leads to the pub one way or Kielder Water the other way is quite steep and there is a tree across the path that you need to duck under. We will definitely be coming back to Falstone.

This is our third visit and never disappoints.

We loved our stay at hartam house, every thing we could want for a holiday stay, we will definitely be returning.

This house is in a perfect location, close to stunning walks along the river or in the forest our dogs loved it.

It was warm and cosy even though it was freezing outside. The kitchen is well equipped and had every thing we needed. The beautiful flowers and wine were lovely and the property was very clean. The 9 mile ride to the shop wasn't even a chore. Thank you so much, we really enjoyed our stay. Sorry we had to leave a day early due to a dog emergency.

It’s a nice house, well equipped and in a good location.

However the sofa was old and well used, therefore the cushions were flat and uncomfortable. And the bay window in the lounge was incredibly drafty, so much so that we had to keep the curtains closed throughout our stay as the house was too cold otherwise. Obviously, this wouldn’t be a problem for stays in the summer months but in January it wasn’t ideal. I would potentially return to this property but not in the winter months.

Had a perfect family birthday holiday.

There is even a stair gate for our 2 year old. Have given you 5 stars for all the facilities. My son ( who's 40th birthday it was) loved doing astronomy in the garden.) wonderful for our dog. Did the rspb birdwatch at the cottage which was a homework project for our 5 year old. Loved the log fire and walks over the back garden. Most of all much appreciated the prompt response to the power cut by the owner not his fault it was the result of exceptional weather conditions. Walked in to an exceptionally clean warm house.

Even the cutlery drawer was clean! No clutter. Space for our food. Furnishings looked new. Beds were clean and very comfortable. Nothing to fault at all. We walked from the house into the forest and to Keilder Water. As stated in a previous review, the garden opens up onto the cycle track at the top. This is quite high up in the garden and our dogs didn’t go out. A great stay and we will return as a lovely area for walking. Thank you

House was perfect for us, stayed to avoid firework noise-very quiet.

Good walks from the house. Top of garden isnt secure but garden large enough our dog didnt notice. Everything provided, lovely bottle wine and beautiful free roses in hall nice touch. Short walk to pub and cafe which sells basics but not open everyday during winter. But we took everything with us so not a problem. Lovely walk to keilder water from house

Fantastic cottage, immaculate and very clean.

Stayed for kielder marathon weekend and ideal location for the start. Only disappointment was that there wasn't a welcome pack and for a cottage 9 miles from the nearest shop even some T bags and milk would have sufficed. Some people were left flowers and wine but we had nothing.

Beautiful house very warm and cosy however, for me, a little bit to remote for local shops etc.

you can not let your dogs free in garden as it’s not secure although plenty of open green spaces to take them to for toilet walk.

The garden was good to sit out after a long day exploring. The neighbours are all so friendly and welcoming. Me and my wife would really want to thank everyone for the opportunity to stay in such a lovely place.

Can not fault this cottage, it is clean comfortable and well equipped, We were lucky enough to be there on so far the only beautiful week of weather of this bad summer which meant we could sit out in the private gardens which offer total peace and quite apart from the lovely sound of the birds, The Blackcock pub in Falstone is a delight the walks around Kielder are all about getting back to nature and a visit to Hexham and Hadrians wall is well worth it.

The photos could do with updating, there are no views of the beautiful countryside from the living room due to the hedges in the front garden.

Garden at the back could do with a bit of a tidy up. The house though inside is very spacious and well equipped. Great location for walks to Kielder dam. The path at the end of the garden up to the old railway line is a bit of a challenge with a low hanging tree. We unfortunately had perfect weather (warm & humid) for the thousands of midges in the garden so weren’t able to sit out. However, we did enjoy our stay and would book again, but in colder weather to avoid the midges.

Tired property showing its age ie damp patches ,cracks in plaster.

I've seen bigger toilets on a aeroplane which for a big chap was a struggle. Never been a fan of leather furniture and was proved right not comfortable at all. I think the only place I was really comfortable was in bed which was something. Garden was a bit overgrown and the track leading to the old railway line was lethal.garden furniture not worth its name and the bbq was rotten.other than that think I've said enough.

What an excellent place to stay.

So enjoyed our visit. The cottage was lovely and great for the dogs. The walks in the vicinity are fabulous.

Lovely quiet property and great location.

We didn't use the car all week just walked from the door to Kielder forest, Kielder water and Falstone village. The cafe in the village is excellent. We have just booked again for next year.

Lovely cottage with all you could need, very comfy beds and crisp bedding.

The garden is great for dogs but be advised it is open at the top. My daughter particularly lived using the telescope at night to look at the stars/moon. A great place for a base for exploring, lots of different walks literally on your doorstep from the top of the garden. Kielder Forrest is so lovely and lots of walking to be done there, it's about a 15 min walk away from the cottage and there are quite a few different paths signposted in the car park.... its beautiful on a sunny day with the view over the water.... it is huge! :) The village is literally a 10 min walk away with a lovely little pub that is very welcoming with a roaring fire and allows dogs (just make a note of the opening times) The Tea Shop is great and the owners are beyond helpful and friendly....they also allow dogs in here and the cheesecake is amazing... they also sell a small amount of essentials and some local art :) (again make note of the openjng times) Overall we really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend it..... :) The only couple of recommendations I would make would be some soft furnishings/cushions on the sofa and maybe some games/cards or books for days when the weather is not so good. Other than that it was a lovely place to stay, the locals are very friendly and helpful and we would definitely go back :)

Loved our stay in Falstone.

Took our 2 goldens and the house is well set up for them. A great stay lovely and quiet. Weather could have been better so need to go back.

This was our second stay at Hartam House.

It is extremely comfortable and was exceptionally clean on arrival. Paul the owner was friendly and very helpful. He even offered us 2 extra nights completely free of charge as there were no other bookings after us for a few days. Unfortunately we couldn't take him up on his very generous offer. The house is beautiful, the log fire a particular favourite. There were plenty logs/kindling and paper left for us to use. Bird feeders in the garden attracted a variety of birds. The area is very quiet. On a clear night the amount of visible stars was amazing. Telescope and binoculars in the cottage were put to good use. A welcome bottle of prosecco was very thoughtful, thank you. We will certainly return to Hartam House next year

Excellent property - modern, comfortable with generous proportions.

When choosing a holiday cottage I always look at the condition of the sofas & try to see how comfy they look to be & also what the bathroom looks like. Although there isn't a photo of the bathroom, can I reassure anyone deliberating, it did not disappoint. Plenty of space, clean, modern - perfect. Oh & the sofa is comfy too! Lovely view over fields towards Kielder dam with the river to the left. Impressed with the generous central heating. Met Paul as we had arrived early who was very friendly, welcoming & helpful. We didn't meet Nurmala as she was busy preparing the house but would like to thank her for the fluffy towels, warm duvets, plump pillows & simple but elegant bedding. My elderly sat nav got a bit confused when entering Falstone, but if you check the owners directions when you reach the tea rooms you won’t have a problem. Would I stay again? Definitely.

Plenty of room for us and the dogs. Clean, well provisioned. Very welcoming. We are already planning our next visit.

Great walks around the area.

Well worth a visit to the observatory, went twice, but didn't get to look at the dark skies due to poor weather. Kielder bird of prey a great experience, feeding the birds. Fantastic forest walks from there too. The site has a shop selling essentials which is nearer than Bellingham. Also a nice bar/restaurant there too, looking out on to the water. Local village pub cosy, with good food. There are quite a few houses around the property & the road to get there could be better. Would be good to have cushions on the sofa for more comfort & a bit more homely. There were only 2 of us, so didn't want to eat in the dining room. Trays would be a good addition. Nice touch with the telescope, which we managed to look through on a couple of nights

A brilliant location (we stayed for the Kielder Marathon weekend).

The house is beautiful and was perfect for the 6 of us (plus baby). There is more than enough parking for cars too. The fire and availability of logs was great (though we didn't use the fire as it was still quite warm, I can imagine in the very cold weather it is fantastic. Great communication from the owner and Sykes Cottages too. We would definitely look to stay here again!

A very well presented property - lovely and secure for the dogs.

Great waking from the garden onto the old railway track and across to Kielder Water. Comfortable and having Netflix was great to catch up on some series (After some long and tiring hikes) Couple of minor points - Outside lights were present, but none seemed to work and the hand rail on the stirs is loose at the top fitting (Not an issue for us, but an older person may cause it to come loose if they need to use it for support. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The oven gloves have a hole in them and need replacing

We enjoyed a great week at hartham house.

It's an ideal location for mountain biking and walking from the doorstep, so much so that we only used the car once all week. Lovely village with a play area and green gym, nice tea rooms and pub with great food, surrounded by beautiful countryside. The house was perfect for our stay.

Had the most relaxing and enjoyable week at this cottage despite some wet weather.

Gorgeous garden for both humans and dogs, lots of places to explore. Perfectly situated for Kielder dam - 30 mins to walk to dam, 10 mins in car. The local tearoom is a must ( try the cheesecake! ), we will be regular visitors again next year - just booked the cottage again it was so good. Lots of activities locally -Osprey cruise, Kielder observatory, Kielder castle with the excellent burger bar, archery and rifle shooting at Waterside.

Great location for exploring and having a relaxing time.

Village pub and cafe are lovely, cafe does a great breakfast and bar food at pub is fantastic. House has everything you need, very well maintained and very comfortable.

We enjoyed our time at Hartam House very much.

Local residents were very friendly and the area is beautiful. The house is clean and well equipped although a bit sterile and anonymous but that’s just our opinion and doesn’t detract from the high standard of the property. The house also overlooks and is overlooked by other properties which took a bit of getting used to even though we knew it was amongst other houses. The garden is lovely and there are plenty walks from the house. A real highlight for us was the local pub just 10 minutes walk away. A proper village pub with great atmosphere and food to match but make sure you book if you want a meal. Daily walks by Kielder Water and in the forest we’re a joy. Overall we had a great time with superb weather so thanks Paul for organising that too.

This was our second visit in just over a year.

For us, with two Irish Wolfhounds, this cottage ticks all the boxes. The proximity to Kielder Reservoir is perfect and the Black Cock in the village is lovely, and they used to own wolfhounds! On a clear night, you really must step outside - the starts are amazing!

Hartman house was wonderful!

We've been to Hartam House a few times now and it has everything we need it's clean well equipped and most importantly it's dog friendly.

We always looks forward to going and hate having to leave.

Well what can we say, the cottage was so much more than expected.

Every facility was covered. The never ending supply of fire wood was very welcoming. Everything so spotless. The nearby Kielder dam and forest within a 30 minute walk from the cottage is absolutely beautiful which we did a couple of times. Thank you to the hosts for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home.

Lovely property in a beautiful location.

Hartam House was an an excellent base for exploring the area around Kielder.

The owners were very welcoming and the house itself was lovely - well kept, clean and right on the doorstep of trails from where you could explore the reservoir and forest by bike or by foot (by car, to the south Hadrian's wall is a short drive away and the Scottish borders to the north). There's a pub a short walk away in the local village and another one just outside the village, both were very good and offered a decent choice of food. If you're looking for a break to really get away from it all, relax and explore the great outdoors, then it's highly recommended

The house is in a lovely setting With plenty of room for parking cars You can walk all the way around the outside of the house as it has a rap around garden.

The only thing that isn’t in the house is a tumble dryer. With the unpredictable weather this would be a good benefit. The Vue from the bedroom windows is wonderful The house is set on the top of a hill and overlooking part of the kielder forest The local village is wonderful and all the nabours are very friendly In the village is a lovely pub that allows dogs in and servers great food but you must cook in advance. Their is also a very nice tea room that sells great home made cakes. Again this is very popular with walkers in the area. I would recommend this property to anyone who wand a wonderful peaceful holiday away from the crowds.

A beautiful, comfy, well equipped house in a stunning location.

Paul made us very welcome and, being close walking distance to Kielder water, gave us lots of walking choices and swimming for dogs. The garden is beautiful but, although its not totally enclosed, it opens up onto a no traffic country track and fenced fields. I can highly recommend staying here, we had a fab time.

Hartam House was very clean on our arrival.

The house is very well equipped, the beds were very comfortable with warm duvets. The garden was lovely and good for our two dogs and our children to play in. The bottle of wine was very well received. The owners Paul and his partner were present when we arrived and they ensured we had everything we needed. We were a party of four adults and two children and all our needs were catered for. There are plenty of walks on the door step, a park for the children, river walks, nice local pub serving good food and lovely tea room serving breakfast, lunch and drinks. All in all, a very positive experience and we would go back to Hartam House.

The owner was very obliging, ensuring everything was available. Lovely location with easy access to the village and local countryside.

The cottage was well equipped, clean and comfortable and we had a lovely relaxing break.

The only slight negatives are that the pictures on the website led us to beleive that the cottage was more on it's own, rather than being close to several other properties and the bath towels were on the small side. Over all it was excellent, being very well located for exploring Kielder and in close proximity to a couple of very good pubs!

The cottage is clean, warm, welcoming & beautifully situated.

We had everything we needed. A welcoming bottle of wine was much appreciated - thankyou. The garden is lovely & we were able to make the most of the beautiful weather which we were so lucky with & it provided a great space for our 2 dogs. Many thanks to the owner, Paul, and to Sykes for facilitating a smooth and stress-free change of date due to the devastating effects of storm Ahwen on the area in November.

The cottage was very well situated.

It has amazing views and has everything we needed. The only thing we would say the sofa maybe needed cushions as it wasn’t the most comfortable. Other than that we would definitely recommend the house to anyone

The property was very comfortable and had all things required for a pleasant comfortable stay over the New Year period.

Paul the owner was very helpful and accommodating. Having the welcome pack and the free supply of logs was much appreciated. All, including our young grandchildren enjoyed the dark sky and star gazing, as well as the walks from the house.

Hartam House is a lovely house to stay in.

The road it is on is super quiet and no light pollution. You can even see rabbits in the garden. There are 2 telescopes that you can use too. The beds were super comfy and there is plenty of storage in each bedroom. There are also lots of plug sockets. I loved that you had a small table in the kitchen and also a separate dining room. Considering the weather can be a bit hit and miss I would have liked to have a tumble dryer or at least a washing machine that can also dry. There is a pub within 5 mins walk and a tea room that is open for part of the week. The local shop is a 20 minute drive, so I recommend coming with a few provisions like milk, bread, tea etc just to tide you by the first morning or ensure you have stop to get something to cook for dinner. Would recommend Hartam House.

Spotlessly clean when we arrived.

Comfy beds. Beautiful view across the wildflower meadow, use of telescopes to watch the stars, 5 mins walk to the river and its wildlife. Only 30 mins walk to Kielder Water. Lots of birds and wildlife to see. Comfortable, beautiful and relaxing.

We had a lovely stay, the house is exactly as described on the website and in the reviews.

Any disappointments were down to local pubs not open yet and locked gates on some of the less used forest walks. The garden is great for chasing the dog round, if you've the energy. We have a 30 mtr lead to stop her wandering off when not being watched closely. Thanks

I loved Hartam house the first thing I noticed was how clean it was.

The bed was really comfortable but unfortunately I am allergic to feathers and the duvet was full of feathers. The grounds to the property are very well keep and very lovely to look at. A enjoyable place to stay.

The cottage was well equipped, very clean and comfortable.

It was an excellent base for exploring Kielder, close enough to cycle onto the bike tracks. Bike storage in the shed was very useful.

Take plenty of repellant during summer months.

Access to Kielder park a short walk from the bottom of the garden. A great base with which to explore the wider area including the Scottish border. What more would you want if you enjoy the outdoors? Will definitely return.

Cottage was in a lovely peaceful location and the the cottage was well equipped.

Also telescopes available for anyone interested in the night sky.Keilder water is a great location if you want to get away from all the hustle and bustle.The biggest surprise was the lack of traffic on the roads.

Really nice garden with some super walks from the door. Also easy access to the lakeside way for cycling. The only downside was next doors cockerel who started crowing every morning about 4am.

The cottage was lovely, everything there that was needed and more.

It was like home from home, with beautiful flowers and wine to greet you. Only thing I think it should be clear about in advert is pets not allowed upstairs, not everyone is happy to leave their pets downstairs and being forewarned is best. Other location and cottage brill.

A lovely holiday cottage, very close to Kielder Water and many forest walks.

The house is really well equipped and very comfortable. The open fire was well used as temperatures dipped during our week but we were lucky to have a few clear skies. The owner had set up a telescope in the lounge - very thoughtful as I'd told him I was interested in the dark skies experienced up there. A good local pub which welcomes dogs is a bonus. My only negative would be the single, separate toilet with no hand washing facility if someone else is using the house bathroom. We were only a group of four but if there had been six of us, I think there may have been a bigger issue. Having said that, I would be very happy to stay there again, in a small group, it's a great place. The neighbours are very friendly and came to offer us candles when we had a short power cut (which we were assured was a rare event). I'd definitely recommend to others.

Garden would have been more pet friendly had it been enclosed, and the areas inside the house where pets where not allowed should have been specified in the advertisement.

Other than that, a nice cottage in a superb location.

Excellent situation in a wonderful part of the country

A well equipped and very clean house with great views, with the added bonus of a plentiful supply of beautiful birds feeding in the garden and bird food supplied, together with direct access onto the untrafficked track behind the house for walking with the dog to either the village or to the reservoir.

When I booked this property I was under the impression that it was it was in an isolated position, as suggested by the photograph.

However, it was, in fact surrounded by other properties, some actually overlooking the house. Don't get me wrong, the area was a quiet one, and the people we met there were lovely; it was, though, not what we were looking for. If we had been made aware that the house was in such a situation we would not have booked it. The house itself was first class. It was beautifully decorated, very well equipped and had a lovely garden. The owner, Paul, was a very polite and attentive host, without actually bothering us. It is, in fact, probably the nicest property that we've stayed in. We did have a nice time, however, were initially disappointed with the location, and felt that we had been misled. Also, although the house is dog friendly, they are not allowed upstairs.

My ratings may be off as they aren’t showing up clearly on iPad.

But great stay in a lovely cottage. Paul the owner was fabulous in making sure the place was kept warm, having kept trying to get in contact to ask how we were doing. Bottle of wine and milk left for us, and Christmas decorations up to make it even more homely. Only downfall is the local area closes lots of pathways and visitor centres at this time of year.

This cottage has everything you could possibly want.

We had another great stay at HARTAM house everything was has it should be would recommend this cottage to anyone great for families couples and dogs.

Second time we have booked this house, One word sums it up EXCELLENT, Location very good can walk for miles from the house, Everything you would need is in the house, home from home,

The owner was concerned about the shower in the bathroom and replaced it during our first day there.

Hartam House is a great Base to discover the delights of Northumberland the house it's self is fantastic and wants for nothing the neighbours were great the house is a credit to the owner we have already booked for next year

It was absolutely lovely

We loved this cottage.

It was spacious,clean and extremely comfortable.The garden was lovely and there are many walks from the door.True it is a little overlooked by the neighbours but they are so friendly and welcoming it doesn`t really matter.The sky at night was magical and the tearooms at Falstone top rate.I would like to stay there again.

Our stay in Hartam House was a fabulous one for us the location was brilliant as we love to walk and averaged around 7/8 miles a day only twice having to use the car ( 1 to the Lewisburn walk & 2 the visit The College Valley near Wooler)to achieve this as there were loads of walks right from the door , our 2 Chocolate Labradors were in their element with having the little burn in the garden and lots of enclosed space to sniff .

We met the owner Paul when he came to mow the lawn and he was a really nice chatty man making sure everything was ok with our stay and very helpful with the local area, it was our wedding anniversary on the 28th August and he left us a Bottle of Champagne, Chocolates and a card which was really thoughtful and made our day. The cottage itself was very clean and comfortable especially the beds , there was 4 of us + 2 Dogs that stayed for 10 days and we felt it would of been a bit cramped with the full occupancy of 6 , the kitchen was well stocked with a variety of utensils and enough to be able to cook full meals if you wanted to although the knives could do with being a bit sharper (our only little complaint ) and the kitchen appliances were very user friendly (but a full range of instructions available in a large file). we also met some of the neighbours while we were there and they were very friendly and chatty telling us about the local area also. All in all we had a fabulous time and the weather was quite kind to us although a little bit of drizzle one day didn't keep us in and we didn't want to leave .
