    “Absolutely gorgeous, we loved our stay in Glencoe house, the decor and furnishings are lovely, the dog wash room was an added bonus, the garden is more of a yard but it was just lovley to sit in on a sunny day and so quiet, previous guests mentioned how tight the drive was, we have a Kia Proceed which is a big car and we just about managed to get down it, Wooler village was lovely, fish n chips from Fry fry value for money and tasty, the best toast ever from Grinders coffee shop.”

Wooler is a delightful, historic market town on the banks of the River Till, one of the tributaries of the Tweed, nestling in the foothills of the Cheviots which form part of the Pennine Way. Known locally as 'The Gateway to The Cheviots', Wooler has a selection of hotels and eating places and offers a magnificent location for exploring the whole of Northumberland and the Scottish Borders. Situated on the edge of the Northumberland National Park, Wooler is just a short drive away from the historic town of Alnwick with its famous Castle and Gardens, and the well preserved Garrison town of Berwick-upon-Tweed. Chillingham Castle with its ancient herd of wild white cattle and Coldstream, just over the Scottish border, are also a short drive away.
