Sea Snug

The accommodation was excellent having a large picture window overlooking the promenade and the sea.

We were entertained by dolphins every day, sometimes twice a day. We were very fortunate with great weather.

A fantastic, snug apartment with amazing views.

The binoculars were a great touch as the boys were trying to work out what was on the horizon. The host was fantastic, with a well thought out arrival hamper, a clean environment and was lovely to speak to. Surrounding area is great to explore, brought back some lovely memories and made loads more. Rebooked for next year.

Perfect accommodation.

Though getting luggage from road then upstairs requires an immediate cup of tea afterwards. Upside... sitting with a cuppa means watching gannets, turns and dolphins right off the shore. Lovely and clean, very well equipped. Ange the host couldn't be more helpful. Very comfortable.

This property was absolutely amazing.

It was clean, comfortable, had everything you could need and the views are stunning. It was lovely to go back to the apartment feeling the day wasn`t over as you could sit in the lounge and feel as though you were still sitting outside with the view. We were even lucky enough to sit there one day and watch the dolphins which was magical. I could definitely recommend and in fact have already booked to go back next year!

This has to be the cleanest property we have ever stayed in.

The kitchen was spotless, cooking utensils spotless, oven spotless, in fact we laughed and did the top of door test, and it was spotless. Credit to the owner who I believe does her own cleaning and washing. Looking out the window and seeing a pod of dolphins playing was a bonus. Once the doors on the wardrobe can be repaired or replaced this place would be spectacular.

An excellent position to watch the tide come in and go out.

Amazing sun rise over the sea. Lovely and clean and well equipped and thank you for the welcome pack. Perhaps instruction books for the heating, cooker etc would be helpful. Plenty of on road parking as the off road was further away in front of garages. Would come again.

Stunning and uninterrupted views of the North Sea, Sea Snug is like being wrapped up in a warm blanket while watching the Discovery Channel.

The owner will go the extra mile to make your stay enjoyable. She dropped off a set of binoculars on our first stay and left us lots of goodies and recommendations on our second stay. Excellent base from which to discover the surrounding area. 100% would recommend.

The pots and oven ware need an update. However the stunning view more than made up for it.

This was my second holiday at the Sea Snug and love the cosy atmosphere of the flat, it's location is within walking distance of Berwick with lots to do, there is also a Borders Bus service stop close by which takes you to Berwick and further little Towns of interest around the area.

The flat has an amazing view overlooking the Sea and there is everything you need on holiday in the flat to assure a good holiday stay.

A wonderful place to stay right on the seafront.

Felt like home from home. I was sad to leave after a week of glorious weather, beach walking, sea watching, book reading, generally relaxing and watching the world go by. I would recommend Sea Snug to anyone who needs to unwind.

Accomodation had a super location right in front of sea.

It was ideal to walk straight out of the door onto promenade. 40mins walk into Berwick was also close/far enough. Accomodation was well equipped and the host was very helpful. Definitely one to re book

Highly recommend we went for a week the views were unbelievable and the sound of the sea send you comfortably to sleep lovely and quiet area very easy to get to places we went to Edinburgh for the day which took less than an hour by train, loads of beautiful beaches nearby

Have stayed here several times and have never been disappointed.

This is a special place for us and family. Berwick upon Tweed and Spittal are excellent venues with interesting beaches, towns and historical features close by.

Sea Snug is a lovely relaxing home from home upper villa with uninterrupted views of the sea.

Lots of walks along the beach and further into Berwick with lots of history and boat tours nearby. Ange kept us informed re local news where and when killer whales were spotted of the coast and was very helpful. Would definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at Sea Snug over Christmas.

The apartment was well equipped and was spotlessly clean. We adored the view from the window over the sea and watching a seal. The apartment was well located for walks on the Coastal path and along the promenade and is extremely handy for the bus into Berwick, the bus stop being literally outside the kitchen window. It was very peaceful so we slept well. We look forward to returning.

Our Wonderful Stay at Sea Snug in Spittal, Northumberland We had an unforgettable holiday in this charming nautical-themed apartment.

The decor truly made us feel like we were aboard a cozy seaside retreat. The spectacular sea views were the highlight of our stay, offering breathtaking sunrises and the soothing sound of waves crashing against the shore. Every morning, we enjoyed our coffee while gazing out at the ever-changing seascape, and in the evenings, we took leisurely strolls along the promenade, soaking in the serene atmosphere. The apartment was not only beautifully decorated but also well-equipped, making our stay comfortable and relaxing. Thank you Angela for providing such a wonderful place to create lasting memories. We can’t wait to return!

The property could do with some TLC on the wood work.

Also fewer cushions would be better as there is nowhere to store them! I found the bath with the shower over awkward because of the plug positioned in the centre. Some of the cooking utensils had seen better days. These were little niggles that could not take away from the great position on the prom, beautifull sunrises and a very fleeting visit from Dolphins .

The property is just as described.

What makes Sea snug exceptional is its location. The view from window is as stunning as everyone says. Spittal prom is charming and lovely to stroll along in the evening when even this year the sun seemed to come out. Buses into Berwick leave regularly from 5 minutes walk away. It’s an ideal base to explore the local area or further afield.

A very special holiday apartment created with a lot of love.

The view from the window is fantastic with the sea & sky ever changing. We were lucky to spot some dolphins one day even though weather had been a bit rough & cold. The owner lives quite close & is on hand should there be any problems & is very fast to resolve any issues which is a bonus. We would love to return one day to such a restful place.

Totally perfect in every way.

Sea Snug is an amazing holiday flat with the best views. To the front is the Sea and to the rear the railway (a dream place for beach and train fans). Lovely to hear the sea when you wake up and the amazing sunrises (and dolphins). You can hardly hear the trains but brilliant view of them. Comfortable and warm cottage, very clean and everything you need. Ange, the owner, has made the place brilliant, and is on hand if needed. The welcome pack was lovely too. Great walks and not far to other super places. Nice village with lovely little shop, and a great Fish and Chip place in Berwick. Enjoyed morning and evening beach walks. Very quiet with just walkers passing by on the lovely prom. Not sure if the prom shops open later in the year, but there was ice cream and chips one evening down there. Will deffo go back there again.

Excellent property very comfortable, but would be helpful if there was more information on how to use the oven, and more information on bin days.

Apart from that we had a great holiday.

Sea Snug is an ideal location for comfortable and relaxing stay.

It is only about one mile from Berwick centre and a regular bus service takes you there and to supermarkets. You can relax by looking out of the window at the sea- no need for TV. Everything you could need for an enjoyable holiday is here.Ange tries hard to make the holiday as good as it should be. She even arranged for the excellent weather. Looking for third visit-very homely.

An absolutely wonderful break and the best Sykes property we’ve ever rented.

The flat was well equipped, clean and comfortable and an ideal base for exploring the area. Ange was kind and helpful, even pointing out a minke whale we were able to see one night. But it was the sea view every morning and evening with the gentle crash of the waves that really made it for us. Couldn’t recommend more highly.

What a lovely apartment.

Sea snug is the perfect name. Beautiful sea views and the relaxing noise of the waves. Ange was a perfect host and the welcome pack was really appreciated. We hope to return soon.

The property did not have the sought-after off road parking as stated, and I found the rope handrail on the stairs was not helpful to use to go up or down to the flat.

Saucepans need replacing as they have no nonstick coating left on. We liked the area, but are concerned about the accuracy of the property description. We wouldn't recommend this property to anyone with mobility issues. We love Northumberland and can't wait to visit the area again.

would be nice to have some drawers in the bedroom for clothes. no where to recycle only black bin, but the flat has a great view and I didn't want to leave. Will return

We had a lovely stay at Sea Snug.

It is a delightful apartment. The view over the North Sea makes it, but it was also very comfortable, clean and decorated in an inspired way. Ange,the host, was extremely helpful but not at all intrusive and the welcome hamper a nice touch. The cakes ordered through Ange were delicious. Great location for exploring too.

Nothing short of superb!

!! loved the fact that you wake up in the morning and look out the window and see the sea weather it’s calm or rolling waves just beautiful, and falling asleep at night to the sound of the waves was magical have not slept so well in years, the property itself was very well maintained had everything we needed and a sea theme carried throughout , on top of all this a welcoming basket was left for our arrival such a kind and thoughtful gesture will definitely come back to the sea snug thank you Angela for everything we had a truly wonderful relaxing time only one complaint we didn’t book it for long enough lol

The Sea Snug had everything we needed and was very warm and comfortable. Beautiful views across the bay and the lovely beach right outside the front door. A nice flat walk into Berwick-upon-Tweed where there was plenty of choices for eating out. Perfect location for a relaxing break.

A little pearl of a first floor apartment on Lowry’s promenade in Spittal.

An ocean view offered from the armchair with beautiful views of Berwick. We saw dolphins swimming in the sea and magical sunrises. The owner was helpful in offering tips of where to eat before our trip, and there was a very useful welcome basket on our arrival. Utterly lovely apartment offered a very restful stay. We visited Paxton House, Berwick upon Tweed and Cocklawburn beach. Can’t wait to visit again. Thank you.

Fabulous accommodation .

It’s like living on the beach for a week -the panoramic picture window in the living room onto the seafront is amazing . This first floor flat is beautifully decorated with a nautical theme running effortlessly from room to room . The front bedroom is very calming allowing you to drift off to sleep with the gentle sound of the sea with thick curtains allowing a holiday lie in !The kitchen was very well equipped with all utensils provided to cook . A wonderful base to explore the beautiful Northumbria coast line ( the Coastal path passes right out side the door ) , historical Berwick upon Tweed and a easy train trip to both Edinburgh and Newcastle . Thanks to Angie for the fabulous welcome hamper and the lemon drizzle cake . Sea Snug provided us with a perfect holiday .

Wow what an amazing week we had at Sea Snug!

Thank you to Ange for creating such a beautiful holiday home, the photos don't do our justice, and as for the location, it's simply stunning! We saw dolphins, seals and many sea birds from the front window, and we were straight out of the door and into the sea every day! Excellent communication from Ange, and a very welcome and thoughtful welcome hamper and fresh flowers greated us on arrival. I hope we can return very soon, Spittal really is an underated gem!

Tastefully decorated ,wonderful position by the sea and also near to Berwick.

Owner was very helpful. We were very lucky and saw dolphins from the flat. There is a nearby bus stop that takes you into Berwick, which means you don't have to use your car

A superb week, the best we have had in many a year.

If you need a chilled out break, in the most comfortable accommodation, in a great spot, this is the place for you! Fabulous views over the ocean, walking straight out onto the beach front, looking out for dolphins and seals, wonderful! A fantastic break in a beautiful cottage.

Parking was around the back and although not a designated spot was always easy to park. The apartment was just as advertised a lovely sea view, a good kitchen, a lovely bathroom with a fantastic bath to soak in after a day of walking and comfortable beds. This was a fantastic location to visit the surrounding area. I would highly recommend
