A lovely cottage on the edge of Rothbury.

Excellent facilities - easy to park, a well stocked kitchen with sharp knives and a great dog proof garden with high fences. Everything you need for a hassle free holiday. The neighbours were all really friendly too!

Excellent property for dog owners - secure back garden and dog gate on the lovely kitchen living area to keep them where they should be.

Very comfortable and lots of space. Beautiful beaches a short drive away and an excellent Italian Restaurant,La Mensa in Rothbury.

The property was ideally situated in Rothbury which was a lovely village and a good base to explore the rest of Northumberland .

The property was of high standard and had a lovely garden to enjoy the evening sun before heading out again . The owners called and were very nice and gave good advice of what to do in the area.

A fantastic spot for our group holiday.

There were 6 of us and the set up was brilliant. Plenty of space for all of us and perfectly set out. You can easily walk into the center for dining/ evening out and a short drive for sight seeing. Highly recommend this property for location and comfort.

We has a fabulous holiday staying at Harefield, a lovely modern house, comfortable, peaceful location, very well equipped – everything we needed and more.

Our hosts were exceptionally helpful, providing a lot of useful information on local amenities, walking routes, places to visit, etc., including a comprehensive collection of OS maps of the surrounding areas. Rothbury is an attractive village, an excellent base for exploring Northumberland.

We had a wonderful stay at this holiday home in Rothbury.

The house was spotless and maintained to an exceptionally high standard, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The facilities were excellent, and the thoughtful welcome items were a lovely touch that made us feel at home straight away. The location is ideal – just a few minutes' walk into the centre of Rothbury, only a 2-minute drive to Cragside, and with easy access to the beautiful Northumberland coast and its charming seaside towns. We would highly recommend this property and would happily stay here again.

Harefields has to be one of the very best places we have ever stayed.

The property is immaculate, welcoming and the owners provided everything we could possibly need to make our visit to Northumberland memorable, including a lovely card and welcome pack. The property felt like a true home from home experience, allowing us to relax and enjoy the many varied things on offer in Northumberland. Nice property, spotlessly clean, everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Rothbury is a lovely town well situated for walks (Simonside and Cragside especially) nice eateries, especially La Mensa (Italian), close to Alnwick, not too far to Seahouses, Banburgh and Morpeth, all worth a visit. Special treat was the deer that visited the field behind the back garden most days. Host was very supportive with good local advice and guidance. I do need to mention it is a 10-15 minute walk into the town and a bit of a hill walking back but only a 2 minute drive so not really a problem. I definitely recommend the proprty and great value for money

Harefield is a lovely house which is beautifully presented by the hosts.

Within easy walking distance to Rothbury, and well placed to explore the area by car. The visitor information in the house was really useful and the host Lynda contacted us to check we had arrived OK, plus provided some additional walks or ideas of places to visit with the dogs. Would definitely recommend.

We had a lovely stay at this house.

The house and garden were very tidy and as described in the listing. The kitchen was equipped with all of the utensils and crockery you would expect and some basic cooking and cleaning supplies. The host was very friendly and readily available to assist with any of our queries and even provided us with some great recommendations for the local area! I would definitely go back and stay here again!

Good location to explore both the coast and inland areas.

Only 15 min walk to the centre of Rothbury. Very good facilities in the house, kitchen very well equipped, and beds super comfy. Good communications from the owners and generous welcome pack. Secure garden for the dog.

ideal property if your discovering Northumberland or just chilling at Rothbury excellent walks on the doorstep Cragside national trust 5 minutes away .Excellent local shops cafes pubs etc 10 min walk we would highly recommend this property comfortable well positioned house and thanks for the roe deer turning up to say goodbye on our final morning

Harefield is in a great location for walking and visiting the stunning coast of Northumberland 6 minutes from Cragside (National Trust ) which is well worth a visit and 20 mins from the coast by car Rothbury is also a friendly village with all amenities to hand Ts cafe is especially good The property comes fully equipped with everything you need and the hosts are very friendly I took my two border terriers with me and we had a great time visiting friends and local beaches I would definitely recommend this property and look forward to returning next year

Comfortable and relaxing to stay in and Rothbury is a quaint little town with everything we needed and definitely would love to return sometime

Superb house in a superb location.

The house was perfect, it had everything that we needed. There was lots of information about where to visit in the house and Lynda and John also provided lots of ideas on places to visit and things to do. Location-wise, it is very close to Cragside and also within easy reach of all the attractions in Northumberland. We will definitely book this house again the next time we are in Northumberland.

This has been one of the best cottages we have ever stayed in.

It was so comfortable and had everything and more that we could need. The information left by the owners was informative and gave us loads of ideas about what to do and where to eat. The Sugar Sands coves were fantastic and so peaceful, well worth a visit. Owners Linda and John left us an excellent welcome pack. They were so and helpful and checked in with on the first night that everything was ok. One of our party left something behind and they went out of their way to return the item . We would definitely look at returning

Just returned from our second stay this year at this lovely property.

We had another great week here, the house is in a beautiful, peaceful location, with great views. The owners have gone above & beyond with everything they provide in their property, you couldn’t ask for more. Once again, they provided us with useful information prior to & during our stay, they are lovely & nothing was too much trouble for them. The house is beautifully clean, is in a fantastic location for touring Northumberland & a great walking distance for Rothbury, which is a lovely place & well worth visiting. We look forward to returning again soon.

A really clean, comfortable, spacious and homely property with everything we could possibly need/want in an ideal location between the national park and beautiful Northumberland beaches and only 1.

5 miles from Cragside - well worth a visit. Lynda and John looked after us really well with text updates and suggestions and even provided a parking disc which was invaluable when we visited Morpeth. A real home from home and wonderful break - many thanks.

This is a lovely property that is spotlessly clean.

The kitchen is very well stocked - just turn up with food and even Christmas dinner could be cooked with the contents in the kitchen. The garden is 100% dog secure - what a nice change. Lovely owner who cold not have been more helpful

Lovely house in a great location.

The most well equipped home I have ever stayed in..the owners have thought of everything to make it the perfect stay. Spotlessly clean and beautiful throughout, it really is a home from home. The enclosed garden was peaceful with beautiful open views and perfectly safe for our dogs. The house is in a quiet and peaceful location, perfectly situated for exploring the Northumberland coast and countryside. Thank you for a wonderful holiday. We will definitely look forward to returning in the future.

The bed in the master bedroom was exceptionally comfortable [we intend to copy it]! Kitchen well equipped. Loved Rothbury, just a short walk from the house. my husband was particularly drawn to the marvellous pie shop. All in all, despite some inclement weather, a lovely stay.

We originally booked for 5 nights but were loving our stay so much we extended it to a full week. We have stayed in lots of holiday properties over the years, this was the best equipped we’ve ever stayed in, owners thought of everything, property is extremely dog & child friendly. It’s in a peaceful location with beautiful views, photographs don’t do it justice. It is a lovely property in a great location for walking into Rothbury, which is well worth a visit and lots to do in the surrounding areas, Alnwick, Bamburgh etc. Great communication from the owners during our stay & lovely welcome gifts on arrival.
