    “Mill House is a fantastic holiday home!”

    ! Soooo spacious. Beautifully decorated. Everything you could possibly need supplied and the pool table was a great bonus. The location, on a working farm, was perfect for us. In addition to their livestock, we saw loads of hares, curlews and skylark in the fields nearby. The village shop alone, with all its home-baked goods, was reason enough to stay here, but its proximity to Holy Island (which we walked to, at low tide, with bare feet!), and the local villages of Etal and Ford and the ...

The village shop alone, with all its home-baked goods, was reason enough to stay here, but its proximity to Holy Island (which we walked to, at low tide, with bare feet!), and the local villages of Etal and Ford and the working Mill Museum at Heatherslaw, made it ideal. We also really enjoyed exploring the coastal path at Berwick and the fantastic second-hand bookshop in the old railway station at Aknwick. All in all, an excellent stay we hope to repeat!

This delightful, detached barn conversion is set on the owner’s working, organic, livestock farm, just a short drive from the Northumberland village of Lowick.

The spacious open-plan living area has a kitchen with a range cooker, ideal for the chef in the group to prepare home-cooked meals for everyone to enjoy in the dining area.

There is also a sitting area, making this a great place to get-together and discuss tomorrow’s plans whilst relaxing with a well-deserved drink.

Why not then retire to the expansive living area, with plenty of room for the adults to chill out whilst the kids can amuse themselves playing pool?

Flexible sleeping arrangements across the four bedrooms at this cottage mean that a variety of parties can be accommodated, and with two bedrooms boasting en-suite shower rooms, there is an added touch of luxury.

The pretty village of Ford with its castle and craft shops is 2 miles away, part of the Ford and Etal Estate which has facilities for cycling and fishing, as well as a mini railway – ideal for all the family. There are also excellent golfing opportunities, with 8 golf courses within 20 miles of Lowick. Northumberland’s beautiful coastline, Holy Island, the Cheviots for hill walking and mountain biking and the fascinating border town of Berwick, are all only short drives away.
