The village shop alone, with all its home-baked goods, was reason enough to stay here, but its proximity to Holy Island (which we walked to, at low tide, with bare feet!), and the local villages of Etal and Ford and the working Mill Museum at Heatherslaw, made it ideal. We also really enjoyed exploring the coastal path at Berwick and the fantastic second-hand bookshop in the old railway station at Aknwick.
All in all, an excellent stay we hope to repeat!
