Victoria Cottage

Lovely spacious accommodation with a great dog friendly garden.

Kitchen was well equipped. We always bring some of our own cleaning products etc but the cottage was one of the best stocked The master bed was very firm. I was ok after the first night but my 6ft 3 partner was uncomfortable. I didn't realise the two single beds were medium/firm and more comfortable until the last night. My teenager wasn't bothered about linking the beds when we booked but in hindsight I wish we had done this so we could have have tried before we allocated rooms. The location was great for days out. Lots locally that we missed so would love to come back. :)

A lovely cottage that we come back to time and again.

It’s in a fab little village with some great walks and views of the River tweed. Easy access to everywhere and a great base to start from.

We had a lovely stay at Victoria Cottage, and especially enjoyed the garden room where we could watch the birds on the feeders.

Very spacious for two, and very quiet. Also very cool which was marvellous due to the hot weather. Having been to Norham most years over the last few years, we know the area well. So many lovely areas to visit and explore.

Wow!

What an absolute beautiful picture postcard of a cottage! Perfect in every way. Comfortable, clean and very spacious, fully enclosed lovely large secure sunny garden. Well equipped kitchen, two good TV's, lovely sunny room at the back in which we sat in all week. Very comfortable beds. We love Norham, the peace and quiet, the locals, the walks by the river just everything, everyone spoke to us and made us feel welcome. Everyone I've showed the photos of the front of the cottage to said "wow what you stayed there?!" Thank you very much for accommodating us and our x3 small dogs, its much appreciated. Its on our list to return!

This is a gorgeous home from home experience staying at Victoria Cottage.

So spacious and bright and airy. There is literally nothing they have not thought of, I have never stayed in such a well equipped cottage.

Lovely to be back for a second visit to this characterful and comfortable cottage.

We had a minor problem during our stay and the host responded quickly and helpfully. I would be very happy to stay here again.

Very comfortable cottage.

Good location. Lovely garden. Everything on ground level, so ideal if you don't do stairs. Within easy walking distance of mini supermarket restaurant and pub.

Victoria Cottage was as listed , it is a large single storey cottage with loads of room and has everything that you need for your stay ,lovely log burner with an ample supply of logs!

! Heating was easy to use and the kitchen with everything needed , fully enclosed rear garden for the dogs and lots of local walks , we enjoyed our stay , very quiet and lovely village with all you need , had a visit to Berwick where the Christmas market was on , thank you

Gorgeous cottage.

Much larger than we expected. Very quiet village with friendly pub. Cottage was warm and comfortable.

Spacious and comfortable.

Well equipped and plenty of wood for the wood burner which we never had to use. Lovely garden for the dog. Norham is a very friendly village within easy reach of Berwick, the coast and Flodden battle site.

Beautiful cosy home in a village full of history.

Lovely walks from the cottage, Berwick upon Tweed close by. Cottage is completed equipped with everything you need, the super full glass extension at the back is great for breakfast and catching up with everyone after a busy day out. Lovely just to sit and read In the stunning light from the garden. This is our second visit and we have booked for next year already.

We took my mum aged 97 to stay.

She loved it as it was easy to get from one room to another on the ground floor. It was very clean and spacious. The kitchen had everything.. we spent most of our time in the conservatory sat around the dining table. It was lovely and bright. The beds were very comfy. It was a good base. We went to Bamburgh castle, Eyemouth watched people feeding the seals. We Walked from Spittal to Berwick and walked round the river walk in Berwick another day. We visited quaint villages Etal, Heathersage and Ford, we had drinks in both pubs in Norham which were lovely. The local people are very friendly. We had fish and chips on the Thursday night from a chippy van. We were impressed with them as we are spoilt for choice living in Whitby. One of the things I loved the most was it was quiet and peaceful.

Victoria cottage is a lovely detached holiday home in the village of Norham.

It had everything we needed for 4 adults and a dog, the conservatory was especially good and when in the property we spent most of our time in it. The kitchen had everything you need. All in all one of the best properties we have stayed in over the years.

Beautiful cottage.

Nice peaceful location.Loved our stay. The only downside was the WiFi was not available in the main bedroom. This however did not stop us enjoying this cottage.

Had a really lovely stay .

Felt at home, well furnished and thought out . Everything you need . Had fab weather spent lots of time in conservatory extension!!! . Great village very friendly locals. Local pub great food and a great base for visiting Berwick upon tweed and surrounding areas . The river walk opposite cottage Great with dogs . Welcoming e mail before stay from owner made us feel welcome .

The cottage was fantastic location .

Couple of small issues. The wooden door near the front door by the kitchen needs attention as it doesn't open it gets stuck . Very vert hard to open this is why the handle came off. Which we did try to fix but wrong screwdriver. The bedding in the second bedroom without the window could do with a update. Ours friend had the lovely bright room with fluffed pillows and quilt and nice covers. Ours where well worn and drab and grey. Only a small thing but didn't feel inviting . Pillows lost there support had neck ache. Otherwise wonderful Booked again for May next year.

as allways this cotage is just right for our family 10 out of 10

as allways brilliant just love the cottage it is just right for what we need

The cottage is spacious, very comfortable and as described in the listing.

The cottage is located the lovely village of Northampton which is ideal for exploring Northumberland and the Scottish Boarders, a trip to Edinburgh is easily managed (40min) by train from Berwick. Highly recommend staying at Victoria Cottage.

Super, homely cottage.

Very well decorated and beautifully clean. Fantastic spot for local facilities including, pub, shop and butchers. Perfect for walks from the property. We had an amazing time. Have already rebooked for next year.❤️❤️

Stayed at Victoria Cottage numerous times and always enjoy our stay!

The cottage is clean, well equipped and confortable! A gem of a find.

as allways very good

Beautiful cottage in a very friendly village.

Everything you need in the cottage for a comfortable stay - home from home. Happy cottage and village so dog friendly. Loads of walks around village on days you don't fancy driving although are buses to nearby towns. Would definitely recommend

Lovely property would recommend and hopefully return next year, spent a lot of time in conservatory lovely sun trap, 4 adults and 2 dogs ample space and great garden

The cottage is in a lovely friendly village.

Victoria cottage has everything you need for a self catering cottage holiday. Ideally situated for visiting the area. There is a strong small of damp masked by air fresheners as you walk in the front door. The steps into the garden are quite deep and steep and would benefit from a hand rail. PLEASE be aware of the wood shed roof which is easily accessible from decking at top of steps, it can be easily stepped up on by adventurous children or dogs. Our dog did that and fell off onto the small picket fence causing serious wounds he had to undergo an emergency operation costing us £900 and a lot of stress and worry. Spoiling the holiday. We made Victoria, the owner aware of our concerns. Hopefully action will be taken to make this area safe for children and dogs.

Very well equipped cottage including an air fryer (first one seen in a holiday cottage).

Blessed by perfect weather and so used table and chairs at top of garden, although rather difficult to get to if you are old. The conservatory is a lovely addition and we spent much of our time there. Only minor complaint is the lack of hand hold in the shower which is essential for old people such as me! However, a splendid cottage in a lovely area.

Excellent.

We intend to re-book for 2025 2 weeks time

this cottage is perfect for our needs me the wife, motherinlaw and the dog we have been to this cottage loads of times and we shall keep coming back we are very gratefull to the owners

Lovely cottage, spacious for two people, warm and comfortable.

Great enclosed large garden. Walks from the doorstep, great view of the castle. Two pubs, fantastic butcher and mobile chippy van on a Thursday night. Also local shop is well stocked. Plentiful beaches nearby, a lovely areas. A lovely relaxing break.

We have stayed at Victoria Cottage a number of times and each time has been lovely.

The cottage is spacious, clean and very comfortable. Norham is a lovely little village with two great pubs. It is a great base for exploring Northumberland and also the Scottish Borders.

An ideal base for exploring this area.

Norham is a beautiful, peaceful village, with a variety of walking opportunities - perfect for dog owners. The cottage is clean and heating works efficiently. The living room and conservatory are both impressive and spacious, with one window framing Norham castle. Both bedrooms are smaller but adequate. The twin room is an internal room with no window. Various levels make the garden interesting, and so long as the side gate is bolted, it's totally enclosed for children or dogs. At night the castle is lit up and looks amazing from the upper garden. . We found inside and outdoors to be well equipped, although a floodlight for the garden would be useful on darker evenings. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and found plenty to do in this lovely region.

A really comfortable and spacious cottage.

We stayed in the depths of winter in a very cold and frosty spell and the house remained beautifully warm at all times. We much enjoyed reading the suggestions book, it seems that some residents like to moan about just about everything! It must be a little disheartening when you have such a great property. I hope we improved the cottage by our stay and repaired a few of the little coat hooks in the hallway.

Lovely spacious cottage with everything we needed.

We fed the birds which were abundant in the lovely enclosed garden which was enjoyed by both us and the dog The history of Norham village is amazing. Such a lovely quiet village which has seen such violence over the years. We did the garden trail which introduced us to more areas in the village and lots of lovely people. The church was amazing. We recommend this cottage and village as a good base for visiting Northumberland

Fantastic, lovely, homely cottage in a quiet but very friendly village.

Large sunroom/dining room looking out over large garden with views of Norham castle. Ideal for a relaxing break or perfectly situated to go off and explore Scotland and Northumberland. Local pub the Masons Arms offered good food, drink and hospitality.

Excellent!

Very good layout and looked after. Larger than expected. Will recommend it to friends and family.

we will be back to this cottage again

Our second stay at Victoria Cottage.

The cottage is very spacious and comfortable. It is very clean and has everything you need. It is a great base for exploring the area. We have booked another stay.

This was our 3rd visit to Victoria Cottage, such a delight of a cottage in the quaint village of Norham.

We have just booked for a 4th visit! Well equipped cottage and the conservatory is just so light, airy & peaceful and looks out onto the garden where Lola our Cocker Spaniel can safely potter around in the enclosed dog friendly garden.

We really loved this cottage.

Well appointed and quirky set in the heart of beautiful Norham with lovely walks on your doorstep and an excellent village pub/hotel (food excellent). The garden is lovely with several decks and a large lawn. All in all a perfect wee find! This was our second visit and we will probably return in the future due to its great position for exploring the Northumberland coast and national park and the Scottish coast.

Perfect stay in a perfect cottage.

It was nice having the conservatory to relax in during the day. Lovely garden for our dog and great location. Terry and Jane

A fabulous cottage, our second visit and we have already booked for next year.

Everything that we needed within the cottage and a fabulous enclosed garden for the dogs. The cottage is twice as big as the image that appears on the booking site. We know the area well and Norham is an ideal base for exploring Northumberland the borders and up into Scoltland. Brilliant butchers, bakers and great food at The Masons

we loved everything about the the cottage.

The location was excellent for exploring the surrounding area.Norham village is a delight, with easy access to walks on the river bank,The local pub is excellent providing a good range of food.We will hopefully be back in the not too distant fure.

Very enjoyable week at Victoria Cottage.

Lovely cottage in the small beautiful village of Norham.

We arrived late Friday afternoon for our week stay in May and found the cottage bright and clean with much more space than appears in the photos. The kitchen had all the necessary items and work surface to prepare a packed lunch, make a simple meal and the essential cuppa. We enjoyed our breakfast sitting in the conservatory watching the birds in the back garden, which also gets the morning sun, so is a bright room to be in. On an evening, after walking all day we relaxed in the living room which has a cracking view through the side window of Norham castle, which sits on the hill. The shower was adequate and the bed was comfortable. Great cottage for a couple and their dog.

All good thank you

The property was very clean and tidy it provided everything I needed for a relaxing week.

There was plenty of hand sanitizer around the cottage in this covid-19 world we live in. Please tell the owners it was one of the best holidays I have had in Britain and that was partly due to the cottage.

A lovely stay once again at Victoria Cottage.

The conservatory is so peaceful and relaxing and a delight on a couple of days when the sun was shining through the conservatory windows. A secure garden for Lola the Cocker Spaniel to explore. Plenty of hot water too. A gem of a find in the peaceful village of Norham.

We had a lovely stay at Victoria Cottage.

It was so spacious and comfortable. Our dogs loved the garden. We have booked to stay again. The only minor issue was that the listing says there is a tumble dryer but there isn't one. Norham is a lovely village. Its a great base for exploring Northumberland and he Scottish borders. The Masons Arms is a good pub with nice food and friendly locals.

Wonderful stay at Victoria Cottage, very comfortable and a great property.

The garden was enjoyed by our two dogs and we would definitely recommend the cottage to others to explore Northumberland and the surrounding areas

What a delightful stay we have had staying at Victoria Cottage.

It is our 11th visit to the quaint village of Norham but our first staying here and it didn't disappoint. Very spacious cottage, we loved sitting in the spacious conservatory which looked out onto the enclosed garden, ideal for dogs! Wouldn't hesitate in rebooking again, first class!!!!

Cosy and comfortable cottage that is spacious and well set out.

It is well equipped and practical but also homely. The garden was great for the dog. The village is quiet but handy for exploring the coast and the borders. Locals are very friendly and there is a pub, an excellent butchers, a convenience store and a bakery.

Victoria Cottage was excellent.

Plenty of space especially the large conservatory at the rear of the property. The cottage was very well equipped and Beth our springer spaniel loved the garden and surrounding countryside. Walks alongside the River Tweed were a joy. We would love to return to this property and would highly recommend.

This is a fantastic holiday home in a lovely scenic village.

The house had everything you needed and more. The garden was a joy and having two springers who love to explore this was just ideal. This cottage is really like home from home and had a lovely atmosphere, where you really could relax. We know the surrounding area very well and have visited almost yearly for thirty odd years but Norham is a really great place as you have coastline and countryside within a ten minute drive. So would recommend this little gem of a holiday home, and would add that the owners should be very proud of what they offer their guests.

Great cottage, very well equipped with a lovely sunny garden.

The cottage is just down the hill from Norham Castle and the river Tweed is a stones throw. We all felt very at home in Victoria Cottage. It’s def one of the nicest cottages we’ve holidayed in

Victoria Cottage is excellent in every way, as a base for travelling out in the north east.

The village is very peaceful and almost traffic-free, 'though lacking in places to have a good meal - the pub fare on offer is only average at best. Berwick & Coldstream have much more choice. Great spot from which to explore the magnificent beaches in this area.

Lovely spacious cottage, spotlessly clean and well equipped.

Great location in a friendly village. Would definitely recommend Victoria Cottage.

Super cottage, fab garden, super conservatory, loads of space inside and out!

Lovely clean cottage with great facilities.

Very spacious, the photos don't do it justice. The garden was very tidy and well laid out, dog safe and fully fenced. The location in Norham was perfect for coast or country. Well serviced with a Pub, Butchers, Bakers and a village shop. Walk from the cottage across the road and you are one minute from the banks of the River Tweed. 10 minute drive to Berwick upon Tweed and then head South to the best of Northumberland's villages and beaches or head North to Scotland, Eyemouth and St Abbs. Fantastic holiday, will be booking again for next year

We had a lovely, relaxing stay in the spacious and well presented Victoria Cottage.

The garden was great for the dogs. Ideal location.

This was our second visit to this cottage and we have booked to go again next year - it is always spotlessly clean on arrival.

We love it as it has a completely enclosed garden which makes life very easy with the dog and the village of Norham is great, lovely pub, shop, butchers and bakers and locals very friendly. The conservatory was perfect in the weather this time and the cottage is well furnished. Our only negative point would be that we (and other guests) have made suggestions around simple additions to the kitchen equipment which would be low cost but would make a big difference and these haven’t been acted upon. We also really appreciate the provision of a BBQ, something which has been withdrawn at this cottage. This wouldn’t stop us using this cottage but it would be beneficial to not have to take own BBQ, cafetière and large pan! Though we purchased a pan and left it there this time…..

We all really enjoyed our 2 week stay at Victoria Cottage in Norham, Northumberland.

The village is so quiet, yet a hive of activity with a great convenience store with a friendly, helpful owner. The butchers is also fantastic and we enjoyed fillet steak and their homemade pies are delicious! Everyone in the village had a smile and good morning for you and it really made us feel at home. The village is kept clean and tidy, village green mowed twice while we were there - all in all a GEM of a place. The cottage was all we could have expected and more. Comfy beds, clean on arrival. No problems at all and the garden was dog friendly - totally safe and soooo large Pippa had a great time playing on their massive lawn. We had a few communications with Vicky the owner and she always replied promptly and was extremely helpfull with all our queries. Goes without staying we are booking again for next year!

Such a relaxing place to stay, with the castle on the doorstep and loads of dog walks nearby it was perfect.

We loved the conservatory and spent a lot of time there. Lovely little village, with a great pub and little shop with all the essentials. Really well equipped cottage with loads of space to stretch out and relax. We only wished we’d booked longer as the weekend went too quick.

Fantastic cottage, very roomy and we loved the conservatory with access onto enclosed garden for the dog.

Great village too with good pub and butchers/bakers. We would definitely think about booking again. Our only disappointment was that the cottage was advertised as having a BBQ which is one of the reasons we select places and we didn’t find it.

We have already booked for next year.

We did it the day we got home. The best Sykes cottage we have ever had in Norham, thank you.

Had a great stay in the cottage, the photos do not do it justice, needed a map to get around it!

Looking forward to staying in your cottage again when the finer weather arrives.

Had a fantastic week here.

Our grandchildren visited on Sunday and loved the toys. Thank you. Cold week but the house is cosy. Spent most time in the conservatory.
