Further afield, you will find Alnwick, home to the renowned Alnwick Castle, famous for its appearance in the Harry Potter Film series, along with the Aln Valley Railway, or continue onto Hadrian’s Wall where you can tour the fascinating remains of Roman Empire with museums and tearooms along the way!

Lovely lodge the only thing was the bedroom carpet’s could do with a clean and more coat hangers only 5 for 4 guests.

Also there needs to be some rules put in place by the park owns to do with people stopping in lodges with motor bikes we was woke up every morning at 7am they started there motor bikes up and left them running for 35 mins before going out on them. We were there to relax.

Lodge 32, Leafy Retreat, is wonderful and even nicer than the photos suggest.

It was warm and cosy when we arrived, making us feel welcome straight away. There’s a lovely grassed area outside, with the woods just a ten-second walk away. Daily visits from the geese added to the charm. Leafy Retreat really does live up to its name! The hot tub was a real treat and was cleaned daily. Our only criticism echoes previous reviewers: the mattresses need upgrading. With that improvement, this wonderful lodge would be even better.

We had a great week at Lodge 32.

The lodge was very comfortable, just as we expected from the photos, the arcade machine went down well with my teenage son and the hot tub was lovely to relax in each day. The woods just next to the lodge were ideal for morning and evening dog walks.
